Her name is rather simple and yet it has a bit of history behind it. Melanie is or was the name that Jeanette wanted to name her daughter if she had one. Christine is from her Father, a female substitute for his name Christopher. Emerson she just stuck with, not anything she can do about that unless she gets married  of course. 
CALLME: 
MEL - The most basic and obvious of her nicknames. It'll do, she'll answer to t of course though if you want her opinion, she loves Melanie more than any silly nickname that anyone's come up with. 
MELLy- A nickname of hers that she got when she was just a little girl. As a five year old she loved it. Now? Not so much. The only person that can get away with calling her that it Elena.
ILIKE: 
Boys - boys, and only boys. There's no ifs, ands, or buts about it.  She is a bit disturbed by the idea of any sort of intimate feelings between two girls. Call her a homophobe, she'd probably agree with you.

Her hair is a very rich shade of brown, it could almost be described as auburn but a bit darker. She likes to keep it longer, and it's  very soft to the touch. Rarely is it ever seen up, instead it cascades past her shoulder in gentle waves.
MYEYES: 
They say the eyes are the window into the soul of a person, that much is very true for Melanie. Her eyes are a very warm and rich shade of brown, one similar to that of chocolate. 
MYFACE: 
She has a small heart shaped face, and features that are simply perfect for her. A small round noes, and full pink lips complement her eyes perfectly. 
MYBODY: 
Small and statuesque, despite the fact that she isn't very tall at all she has a beautiful figure. Nothing that is too overwhelming, her curves are very delicate and feminine, very contrasting for a girl with such an overpowering and fiery personality.

ILOVE: 
PARTIES - Letting loose and having a good time, now who doesn't like that? She lives parties simply because they are a great way to relive stress..she's simply lucky that she's nothing like her sister when it comes to these sorts of things.
CLOTHES - they are her number one guilty pressure, and given how wealthy her Father is, she has more than enough to spend. She's a bit ridiculous  when it comes to clothes and fashion in general but she simply doesn't care. 
BOYS - what girl can honestly say that they don't? Boys can be useful for quite a bit actually, the attention they give is always fun...seeing how hard they'll work for things. Sure having sex on the brain nearly 24/7 can grow a bit tiring, but a world without them would be a pretty dull place. 
CHOCOLATE - her comfort food, the best thing in the world to eat. Sadly she can't eat it as much as she likes. As good as it is, bring fat is simply not something she ever wants to get close to. For now chocolate will simply be her occasional guilty pleasure.
CONTROL - it's borderline OCD but Melanie simply has to have things go her way. She's very precise and plans out nearly every move that she makes. Many don't quite understand but she's simply a natural born leader, someone who isn't all that fond of being bossed around by others. 
LOVE - She's in love with the idea of being in love. She's a sucker for fairy tales...give her a good romcom or romance novel and she's happy. Then of course theirs music, she'll be the first to admit she adores Taylor Swift. 
ELENA - her sister is everything to her. Growing up without her Mother, and with their Father always gone, they learned to lean on each other. She's Melanie best friend..and in some ways her only true friend, but she's okay with that. 
IHATE: 
POSERS - People who pretend to be something they aren't, she simply cannot stand it. There are occasions where she makes exceptions. Because at times she is one, and it's something that she simply loathe about herself.
SUCKUPS - These are similar to what's mentioned above. Though she isn't nearly as bad...because she refuses to do this unless she has to. Any way people who play nice simply as a way to use someone to get what they want.. Suckups are the ones who aren't very good at it.
BEING JUDGED - 99.9% of the time it's all in her head. Sadly she can't help but to feel people are always judging her and trust me it's never good the things she thinks people think. 
COLD - She hates being cold, as pretty as the snow can be she'd take summer over winter everyday..also just winter in general brings back bad memories for her.
THE GODS - it's not a personal or deep-rooted hatred, but she isn't very fond of them. Her own Mother didn't even claim her...didn't consider she and her sister worth her time. All Gods seem to neglect their children and so how could anyone look up to and respect beings like that?
DONTTELL: 
LOST HER VIRGINITY IN AN ELEVATOR - it happened very fast, and not that long ago. No one knows, or at least she hasn't told anyone. For now she has no intention of opening up to anyone about it any time soon. Her first time was supposed to be special, she had thought about it quite a lot. But she tried being smart..and it cost her far more than she should have paid.

SCAREDOF: 
NO ONE WANTING HER - as tough as she tries to act, she's just as vulnerable and insecure as any other girl. Her biggest fear is that she'll never fall in love...that no one will ever want her. Every guy that she thought she had feelings for, he just ended up using her I'n the end...and she's afraid that's all she'll ever have. 
WANTTO: 
LOVE - She loves the idea of being in...true and real love. Melanie wants to of course one day find that one perfect person, who will love her no matter what...of course it's very wishful thinking...but she isn't going to give up.
HER MOTHER - She wants to one day of course figure out just where she and Elena belong. They maybe unclaimed..but she's never going to give up. She won't stop until she finally knows just which goddess had the nerve to do this to them...
STRENGTHS: 
BRAVE - She is extremely brave, to a point where it could almost be considered a weakness. Melanie even as a child never backed down from anything. The type of girl to climb up a tree just to say that she did. Even when she knows she doesn't stand a chance, she won't stop. 
CARING - As much of a bitch as she can be, Melanie isn't totally heartless. The people she does care about, they mean the world to her. That's one really fast way to get on her bad side..hurt someone she loves and she'll do everything in her power to make sure you regret it. 
CLEVER - She is quite smart, certainly not the most intelligent person her age but she isn't an idiot either. She lives to scheme and come up with plans...it is very rare for her to do anything in the spur of the moment.
LOYAL - As stated before, she won't trust just anyone. She learned the hard way that not every can be trusted. But once you earn her trust, there's not much of chance that you'll lose it..if she believes you're worth it...she'll literally go to hell and back for someone.

Her real Mother, of course it's hard for Melanie to think many nice thoughts about her. She gave birth to her and Elena, but Mel is long past the point of wanting to care about her, whoever she is. She gets gods don't usually spend time with their kids. But to just not claim them? There's no excuse for that. 
JEANETTE HELEN GRANGER-EMERSON- Technically she isn't Melanie's Mother...she at least didn't give birth to the twins, but she was very much a maternal figure in her life. Until she died at least. Melanie doesn't remember much about her...only that she was so very warm and kind...always thinking about the needs of others. It's sad but there are times where Melanie finds herself wishing that her Father had been the one to die. 
FATHER: 
CHRISTOPHER MICHAEL EMERSON- Despite the fact that he is never around, Melanie on some level does love her Father. But in a way she hates him, Elena has been on a downward spiral for quite some time and Mel fully blames him because he isn't being the parent he's supposed to be. It's very much a love/hate relationship. She loves him, but right now, she certainly doesn't like him. 
SIBLINGS: 
HELEN 'ELENA' MICHELLE EMERSON-
Elena is her best friend and her twin sister. They have their moments but honestly Melanie wouldn't know what to do without her. No one seems to get her like her sister and it seems that's true both ways. Don't get me wrong they don't have a picture perfect relationship. As much as the get a long, they fight quite a bit as well.

HISTORY: Christopher Emerson was only looking for love I'n a sense. Going on twenty five, he was at the point where he wanted to start a family...but he just could never meet the right girl. Of course that was until he met her, it was just another night and she seemed to have come from out of nowhere.. He only saw her once, but she changed his life forever. Many months later, two bundles were on his doorstep...two girls. Call it crazy, but somehow..he had a feeling that she was involved somehow. 


Melanie's childhood was normal, her Father was always at work but she had the nanny and her sister to keep her company. It felt like it was an overnight thing...one moment she was a chubby little baby and the next, a beautiful girl. Just a few weeks before her tenth birthday, a man appeared before  Christopher, he  told him that his daughters were to attend Halfblood camp. That next day, Christopher packed up his family and moved them to New York. Now Melanie herself hated moving...until she got there. Now in her mind, her life is perfect. During the summer she gets to learn all about what she is...and the rest of the year...? Well she rules at one of the most elite schools in all the city.
