Camp halfblood was supposed to be fun, a place to start over and try to forget all that had happened in her past. In a way she didn't want to forget...she just wanted to have a normal life again. Where she was born, there was just too much pain...far too much had taken place for her to ever hope to have anything normal. Deep down she did feel guilty for lying about why she wanted to leave. But despite everything else, she believed that this best for everyone.
Anyway when she got to New York, it wasn't long after that she and Dory were sent to camp halfblood. Trying to stay positive, she easily gave the place a chance and surprisingly enough, she had quickly grown to love it. It was strange being unclaimed..but it was a comfort to know that there were many others like herself. Now as much as she loved camp...it was a shame that she had to leave. Eden sighed to herself, alone in the cabin for the first time ever. Everyone else was at dinner and so she was taking that time to pack.
There weren't things she was taking with her, aside from the important stuff... Just a little bit of food and clothing. She just needed to last until she got to the city...until she found her sister. Knews of Dory leaving camp had come as quite a shock to Ms Eden Sarah Blake. This was the longest the two had ever been apart and didn't like it, not one bit. She was hurt most of all, that she had been left behind. Yes she did love it here, very much so...but she'd never choose anything or anyone over her sister.
She frowned, leaning back a bit from the bed she was currently leaning over. Her hair, as long as it was, kept getting in her way. Every strand of blonde hair was gathered in both of her hands before she wrapped a rubber band around it all to secure it in place. With that, she returned to what she had been doing moments before. All that she was taking with her was spread out on her bed and she was shoving it all into a small black bag. She didn't have a whole lot and so it all easily fit. Standing up straight, she glanced around the empty room, a sense or remorse filled her, but she knew with all her heart that she bad to do this.
Her steps were slow, it felt like an invisible force was pulling her back...begging her to bot leave. She had such fond memories here, even if it hadn't been three months since her arrival. She had meet so many wonderful people, but her family would always come first, and Dory was her best friend as well as her sister. She reached forward, opening the door and stepping outside and then it closed behind her with a soft click. She had no idea what the camps policy on this was. She couldn't imagine running away was encouraged. So she took no chances as she walked away from the camp. The moment she entered the forest, she broke out into a sprint...hoping that she was headed in the right direction.
How long had she been running? Well she didn't want to know...nor did she know. What she did know however was how tired her body felt when she finally stepped out of the forest and into 'civilization' Her body was weak, her legs wobbly, very much like jello. She just wanted to rest..she was tired and more importantly hungry...but she couldn't stop quite yet. She had one more thing she needed to do, and that required direction. Eden knew her sister better than anyone one, she wouldn't go home...so the library was the first place she needed to look. Of course with a city as big as new York...she didn't even know where that was. Her steps were light as she walked up the pavement, and up the steps to the first house she laid eyes on. Lifting her hand up, she knocked twice and hoped someone who could help her was home. "Talking looks like this" OR "it can also look like this"

Today had, by far, been one of the worst days of Danna’s life. If she had thought things were bad before, certainly nothing could compare to the action packed day of today. It had all started off with training, bright and early. She had woken up feeling sick (morning sickness--stupid pregnancy) and had to rush to the field where she knew she’d get her ass kicked. Not long after she got there, there was a small crowd gathered (something that had only been happening for a little while now…No one used to care much about these sorts of things), which seemed less promising. As expected she was on her ass in the first minute of things, as Ares had basically slammed her into the ground, but with a baby on board there was more pain than usual, which kept her down and only encouraged taunting from her father and interference from her mother. Hera had shown up not long after that to inform everyone that she was pregnant and exiled until the baby was born. Her dad had gotten onto her about that and the anger he encourage only inspired her to admit of her feelings and relationship with Jesse.
And as if all of that wasn’t enough. Returning to her home she had sent an Iris-message to Jesse to let him know what was going on and he insisted on coming to Earth with her. She had four hours to get everything she needed from every realm before her banishment began, so she packed in a hurry and grabbed her favorite pegasus to ride to Los Angeles and to the entrance of the Underworld. Danna had managed to calm down by that point, but the time she got in she was immediately grabbed by some large woman named Antigone who dragged her to the palace of Hades where she was further humiliated, being forced to her knees and bullied around. Honestly, for someone who seemed to hate Zeus so much, he acted an awful lot like him. Danna stood her ground the best she could…She had been humiliated enough the past several months, and she had grown sick and tired of feeling that way, sick and tired of having her pride dragged through the mud. It was wearing down on her a lot, but she was just as hard headed as her daddy and though the prospects for a while seemed hopeless, she and Jesse finally managed to escape.
The two returned to her home in Manhattan, their home for the next several months until the stupid thing popped out. For the first hour she had done nothing but pace the floor of her bedroom, ranting and destroying everything she could get her hands on. Luckily, she made sure it was things she had little use for, like the pillows in the spare bedrooms or the stupid VCR and DVD player. She was furious and still highly hurt by everything…Her pride was sore, and she never wanted to show her face anywhere ever again. All she could do was imagine in paranoia the gods in Olympus or the Underworld, watching them, laughing at their misery, plotting further destruction on her life. Already her mind was forming ideas, very terrible things she’d do to Hades and Ares once the gods were overthrown. She would make them both pay dearly for what they had done today. She sneered as she stomped downstairs, muttering under her breath as she headed towards the kitchen, grabbing a green apple out of the refrigerator. They’d have to do some grocery shopping soon, considering how low the food supply was. Danna sighed heavily and leaned back against the kitchen counter, chewing thoughtfully on the apple as many amusing scenarios passed through her mind.
They would pay. They’d all pay. If her reason for wanting them gone before wasn’t good enough, this certainly was.
A knock on the door snapped Danna out of her thoughts. Rolling her eyes she took another bite of her apple and set it on the counter, pushing herself off of the counter and walking towards the front door. She had no idea who it was, but if it was any of the gods coming to gloat or taunt her she was going to scream and show them what pregnancy hormones did to a person. Opening the door, though, she faced no god, but a demigod instead. It was easy to tell from her scent, from her look…Everything about her just screamed demigod and Danna couldn’t help but wonder in her mind who her godly parent was. She was wondrously tall with golden curls as long as Rapunzel with bright blue eyes and a lovely tan. She was very beautiful…Perhaps not Aphrodite beautiful, and her nature seemed calm and friendly, so no child of Ares. She wasn’t hideous enough to belong to Hades or Hephaestus. She highly doubted Zeus or Poseidon…Her mind flitted through all of the main twelve gods, and luckily she didn’t seem as if she belonged to any of the ones she hated the most. Lucky her…Then again, maybe that wouldn’t even save her.
Her pride was hurt severely, and the only way to make oneself feel better and stronger was to have power over someone else….And there was one very good way of accomplishing that. Danna had spent plenty of time on that basement, more time on it than anywhere else in the house. Her own little torture chamber…It hadn’t even been tested or broken in yet. Danna smiled a brilliant smile, her vivid green eyes meeting the blue ones of the stranger. Yes, she’d make a perfect target. This was a sure-fire way to cheer her up. Maybe she was supposed to be recruiting demigods to help, but this wouldn’t be too bad, she figured. It was just one, and honestly, who would she tell? Who would believe her? It’s not like she’d know who Danna was…She could always kill the girl, if she didn’t hate Hades so much…Make her go missing…Something…There was no time to think about the consequences, only the good it would do. “Hello…May I help you?”

Family...friends, the people that she loved meant everything to her. After the death of her Father, there was no one she loved more than Dory. She was her sister as well as her closest friend. Looking at them, you never would have guessed they were related, let alone sisters. They didn't have the sane circle of friends...well actually Eden could get along with everyone, but the same couldn't be said of her sister. However social Eden was, the void that had been left in her sisters departure was too impossible to fill.
So if she couldn't be at camp with her, she'd gladly leave camp to be with her. Of course that plan in itself was much easier said than done. In theory it had seemed like such a great idea. Manhattan...New York city itself was one of if not the biggest city in the world. Locating one person here, well let's just say finding a needle in a haystack blindfolded would be ten times easier than this. She had been going for quite some time until she was in the city...and by that time she wanted to stop or at least rest.
Leaving at dinner might not have been the brightest idea...it was dark now...and for her to be wandering the streets wasn't exactly safe..not that she had any other choice... No one would offer her aid of a place yo stay. As long as she stayed safe, she didn't care. Eden honestly was just lucky she had dressed warm...and really she blended in quite nicely. She was dressed in all black, well aside from the red hat atop her head.
She was cold, along with many other things as she stood outside the door she had knocked on. Directions...that's sadly all that she could ask for. Anything else would not only be weird, but very impolite as well. She sighed, watching a puff of air vanish only a second later. She shifted her weight a bit, folding her arms over her chest, as if that would actually help to preserve what body heat she still had. That would be her luck, freezing to death in the streets of New York while looking for her sister.
It was hard not to breath a sigh of relief as the door was opened and a woman stood on the other side. She was very pretty, beautiful, was a better was to describe her. With blonde hair and vivid green eyes, just one look and Eden already felt like she could trust her... But at the same time she usually tried to see the best in everyone. "Sorry to bother you, I ummm I'm actually new around here and I'm lost. If it's not too much trouble, could you give me directions?"

Danica was the goddess of torment and manipulation, specialties that walked easily hand in hand. Manipulation could easily be used to lure someone into their own horrible experiences of torture at the hand of Miss Danna. Looking at the girl, she seemed so trusting and so naïve. Fooling her would be the easy part, but perhaps too easy. Danna wasn’t looking for a challenge tonight or working harder than she needed to. She didn’t care to waste her time being a wonderful actress and playing the good girl up until the point she shoved the girl down into her basement. Tonight she was looking for any games at all, only release from this agony and some way of forgetting everything that had happened. Danna continued smiling, not intending this to last more than another minute. She held half of her body visible in the doorway while the other grasped beside her, grabbing at the wooden baseball bat she kept hanging with the coats and umbrellas for just this occasion. She smiled beautifully at the young girl and slowly nodded her head. “Of course, darling,” Danna whispered, stepping aside and opening the door more, whipping out the bat and slamming it into the side of the girl’s head as quickly as possible, smiling as her long body toppled over easily. Danna set the baseball bat aside, still smiling. “Come right on in,”
Glancing around quickly, Danna grabbed the girl by her ankles and dragged her in before closing the door. It was nighttime, so no one was walking around, at least not in this area. No one had seen the pretty blond lady knocking out the young girl or dragging her unconscious body into the house. Danna sighed once the young girl was inside and looked down at her. There was no telling how long she’d be out of it…Danna had been sure not to hit her hard enough to crack her skull or anything. Reaching down she quickly pressed two fingers against the side of her neck, checking for a pulse to be sure. No need to expand Hades’s little “kingdom” any further. She would do nothing that pleased that horrid piece of trash. She would torture the girl to the brinks of death, but never would she let the girl go there. Danna made that promise to herself standing up straight and examining the girl’s body. Smiling softly, Danna reached down and grasped her ankles, easily standing up and holding her legs and dragging her along, across the floor and down the hallway. She was strong enough to carry the girl, but wasn’t going to risk straining herself more than she had to. She had to be careful with the baby, even more determined now that Hades and Ares seemed to have something against it. It seemed everyone was giving her all sorts of reasons to want this damn baby.
It only took a few minutes to reach the door that too easily creaked open. The staircase was narrow…A narrow spiral staircase that creaked nearly as bad as the door as Danna walked backwards, dragging the girl down the winding path into darkness. She heart rats scattering and snickered as she reached the bottom and reached to her left, fumbling around for the light switch before a flickering, dim light came on. She had made sure it was that way…A perfect, creepy setting to add to the affect of everything. Danna checked the girl once before continuing to drag her over to the wall where chains dangled. She shifted a moment, maneuvering the girl into a somewhat seated position, lifting her arms and clasping the cuffs around them before attaching the same to her ankles so that her arms hung over her and her body dangled below like a rag doll. Danna stepped back and pursed her lips, admiring her work, before leaning back against a nearby table and waiting for her to wake up.

There is such a thing as being too trusting...but Eden was the type to rarely think negatively. No matter the situation, nine times out of ten, she could find something positive to focus upon. This was no exception..of course the thought of danger had never crossed her mind. Merrily going up to someone's house and asking directions. The worst possible situation she could think of was being yelled at...but even that seemed like a long shot. But nothing like what was going to happen to her crossed Eden's mind.
In fact a warm, friendly smile lit up her beautiful face as the woman agreed. She let out a small sigh of relief, already able to relax. "oh thank you so much..you have no idea how much this means to me...I'm trying to find my sister, and if there's anything I can do to make it up to you..." She begin, realizing she had forgot something very important. "I'm sorry for being rude, I'm Eden..." There was nothing more she could say after that. After a sharp blow to the back of her head, everything went black...
She had been struck in the head with a bat and honestly she would have never seen it coming. In her unconscious state her body was dragged through the house...considering she wasn't aware of what was going on..the pain of all this at least, she wouldn't feel until later...Through the house and to the torture chamber...and once she was chained up...it took a good forty five minutes before she woke up again. She was brought back to consciousness slowly...her already sore body aching, her head throbbing..like she had been hit. For some reason when she went to touch her face, she found herself unable to move her arms...or her legs for that matter..instead she was greeted by the chilling sound of metal clinking together. Her eyes reluctantly opened to see what was going on, and she couldn't help but to gasp at what she saw. "W-What is this...why are you doing this to me.." Her voiced laced with confusion and fear as her wide blue eyes feel upon the woman who until now had been so kind to her...

Danna was eager and half tempted to beat the young girl, Eden, awake. The young thing was to be tortured and after all she had been through today, Danna was anxious to get on with it. She wanted this girl to feel as…No, more weak, more powerless, more stepped on and useless than Danna had today. This girl would suffer far more humiliation than Danna could dream of and twice as much pain. Yet she stood there, staring bitterly at the innocent demigod before her, still out of it and hanging from her wall. Danna intended to go pet shopping tomorrow, why not add a demigod to the list? Many thoughts ran through her mind as she waited for Eden to rouse, glancing around at everything in the room and thinking of all the ways she could use them. Poor Eden…She had done nothing wrong but coming to the wrong place at the wrong time, but Danna hardly cared about that. Danna wasn’t as friendly or nice a person as she made herself out to be.
Finally, Eden began to stir and Danna smirked, standing up straighter and clasping her hands in front of her, taking on a very concerned look as those bright blue eyes opened. Danna sighed at her question and pulled herself up to sit on the table. Her previous need to launch right into the physical aspect was replaced by a deeper desire to play around with the more manipulative side of things and screwing with the girl’s mind. This was about more than causing pain, it was about embarrassment, too, she had reminded herself. “Me? I’ve done nothing to you…I’m only protecting myself,” she informed her, folding her arms over her chest, as though slightly frightened and insecure. “I’m protecting myself! You went nuts!” Danna explained, lying expertly. “I had to hit you over the head with a lamp to get you to stop biting me…Jesse said it would probably be better to keep you down here…We didn’t have any rope so, chains it was.” she finished, shaking her head.
It was quite the story…Eden certainly wouldn’t remember coming into her home and all of a sudden attacking her, but that’s when the excuse of possession and such things came into play. Or the interference of gods…Things like that. Danna found she could be very convincing when she wanted to be. She lowered her arms a bit from her chest down a little ways, keeping them a bit more loosely around her while leaning forward curiously. “Who is your parent? Your godly parent?” she asked, hoping the girl would give her even better reason to kick her ass. “I know what you are, don’t play dumb…I just need to know who you’re working for, and that’s all I can imagine, what with the Titans put back in their place,” she said, sliding off of the table and slowly approaching the young girl. “Who told you I was here?” she demanded, easily staying in character. There was nothing more fun than confusing the shit out of people, and it would especially make her feel better to at least pretend she was important enough for people to send demigods and whatnot after her.

Bad things happened to bad people, or so that's what people told children. If you were good, did as you were told...nothing bad would ever happen to you. Though as those children got older, they learned the hard way that it was far from true. No matter who you are...what you've done... Pain was a thing that no one could escape. Eden Sarah Blake could easily be described as a good person...someone who didn't deserve to be in the situation she now found herself in.
She had left camp half-blood because she had been sure it was the right thing to do. She loved camp but she loved her sister more, so she had left in order to find her. Strangers weren't to be trusted,..something that she didn't honestly believe in. Eden tried to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, trusting them until they gave her a reason not to. Walking up to the house, the woman on the other side of the door, she never would have thought she was capable of what would happen next....
Waking up in chains was something that couldn't be seen as a good thing, no matter how you looked at it. Fear was the first thing she felt well up inside of her..well actually it came after the confusion. Her mind racing, trying to put the pieces together and figure out how this had happened..how she even got here. She remembered walking up to the door...being invited in...but not much else after that. The only other person in the room was of course the woman..,and so Eden couldn't help but to blame her for this, and really, who else could it have been?
Of course the words out of her mouth were nothing close to what she expected, bot that she really knew what to expected. Her eyebrows pulled together, it was obvious she was once more trying to get herself to remember. Though bad memory or not..:what she said couldn't possibly be true., She slowly moved her head from one side to the other, obviously disagreeing with her. "Wha..." This was just crazy, there was no way that this was true it just couldn't be. "No...I..no..there's just no way. I would never attack anyone..." Never in her life had she ever even considered physically harming another person...there had to be some sort of mistake.
She wished that this wasn't happening, oh how nice would it be to close her eyes and wake up in her bed. She tugged on the chains, bug of course she had no effect on them. They were bolted too strong into the wall, she wouldn't be able to get out of this on her own. She bite her lip, lowering her gaze to the floor. She didn't have the slightest idea as to what she was going to do...how she was going to get out of this. The chains would be impossible to break, and so she needed to let Eden to go...and at this point who knew when or if that would ever happen.
Her godly parent...that's what she wanted to know now. What was going on. It took some force on her part, but she finally lifted her head to look at her once again. "I...don't know. I was never claimed...but why does that have to do with this..." this wasn't making sense... not any of it...she was so confused and scared, what was she going to do with her. "I'm not working for anyone...when I came here, I was telling the truth...I just needed directions...I'm looking for my sister and this was the first house I saw...I have no idea who you even are..."

Today had probably been one of the worst days in Jesse's life. It had started like any other, until he got an Iris message from Danna informing him that she had been banished to Earth for the duration of her pregnancy. Jesse had immediately decided to go with her, although knowing what that would entail was troubling. Once they actually got to Earth, they would hopefully be okay, but first Jesse needed to tell his father where he was going. Otherwise he might wake up one morning with the Minotaur slamming his way into the beautiful Manhattan home, and that would not be preferable.
Telling Hades that he was leaving for a while certainly wouldn't be preferable either, but Jesse had had to make a choice. He decided to tell his parents where he was going, just get it overwith and hopefully live out the months on Earth with Danna in peace. Of course, that was far too much to hope for. After Jesse's fallout with Alessia, he had promised his father that he would never fall in love again, and that he would never leave the Underworld for Earth for the sake of a woman. Both of those vows had been broken, but for good reason. Jesse had never meant to fall in love with Danna, and had in fact fought it with every fiber of his being, but there had simply been nothing that he could do. And if she was being banished to Earth and would be having their baby there, Jesse needed to go with her. The importance of it all transcended that of the vows he had made earlier in life, but of course Hades wouldn't see it that way. He saw it as an unforgivable breach in his son's honor and responsibility, and pulled out all the stops to get him to stay. During the argument, a guard had dragged Danna in, after she had been found waiting for Jesse in the Underworld. After putting Alessia and Jessica in the Fields of Punishment, where Jesse would have to deal with them every day, as well as ripping Jesse's birthright away from him to give away, Hades had set the entire pack of hellhounds on Jesse and Danna. They barely managed to escape, and had come straight to Manhattan.
Of course, once they arrived there, things were not exactly coming up roses. Danna was furious with Jesse, their parents, and everyone else, and spent a good hour storming around the house and breaking things. Jesse understood her rage, still feeling it quite strongly himself, and he stayed out of her way while she rampaged. A few minutes ago, however, it had stopped as the doorbell rang.
Jesse sat up from where he had been lying on the bed, listening closely to what was going on. He could hear Danna's voice, and a female voice he didn't recognize, and then the sharp clap of wood striking a hard surface. Then there was a quiet, sly chuckle, and what sounded like dragging. He had a pretty good idea of what was going on.
Jesse waited a few minutes before strolling nonchalantly out of the bedroom and down the stairs, pausing out of sight on the steps to get a feel for what was going on. Danna was making up a story about their "guest" attacking her, informing the woman that he had suggested that Danna put her in chains... The girl protested strongly, and Jesse grinned, falling into his own character that he had made up right there on the stairs.
"Hon, are you all right?" he called as he descended the stairs, concern in his dark eyes as he glanced at the girl hanging from the wall before coming up beside Danna, giving her a tight side-hug and pressing his lips to her golden hair.
"I came down because I got a bit concerned, thinking about you down here all alone with her," Jesse said, glancing challengingly at the innocent demigod who had supposedly attacked Danna. "But I can see you've got her subdued all right. Why is she here?" he asked Danna, glancing back down into her bright green eyes.
There were few things he loved more than watching Danna do what she did best, and he was more than ready to play along, sit back, and enjoy the show.

Eden was innocence incarnate, the very essence of kindness and naivety. She reeked of it. The girl was so sickeningly sweet, Danna was sure she’d get diabetes, with or without Jesse doing anything. It wasn’t hard for her to read people at all, and the girl was very well an open book with all of that. And here Danna stood, accusing her of being a monster…Of attacking her, and being so frightened she had locked her up for safe measure. Eden was confused, as well she should be. She had no real reasons to convince Danna, other than the fact that this was Danna’s strength. The girl began denying it and Danna frowned deeply, looking as if she were uncertain of whether or not to believe the girl. “You don’t remember, do you?” she asked hesitantly, still examining the girl. Eventually poor Eden would figure out the truth…That she wasn’t really crazy and she had been captured by a horrible raving lunatic, but the more she could press this into her mind the better. The more Eden doubted herself and her sanity, the better off Danna, at least, would be.
“You don’t remember doing this?” Danna asked, unfolding her arms and extending them out, showing the faded red bite marks Danna herself had created before Eden woke, as well as angry scratch marks all the way up to her elbows and even one really nasty one on the side of her neck. The wounds were all sore and itchy, but Danna ignored them and they didn’t bother her much. She had suffered far worse injuries at the hand of her father, so a few self inflicted bite and scratch marks were fine. They had been quick enough to do after tying Eden up and they made very clever evidence. After all, why would she bite and scratch herself in such a manner? Danna sighed and shook her head. “I don’t know what to believe about you, but I’m really not sure what other tall, blond girl was in my house who did this to me,” she said, pursing her lips and folding her arms back over her chest.
Eden spoke again and Danna rolled her eyes. She needed to know who her parent was in order to know who she was working for, duh. Danna snorted. “Truth? I’m supposed to believe that?” Taking a deep, exasperated breath, Danna continued. “My name is Danica, and I am a goddess who has had more than enough problems with her enemies lately to know for a fact that one of them sent you, and it’s all a matter of deciding which one it was,” she went on, giving Eden a hard look. For a while it was almost easy to believe her own story. She had been having problems with the other gods, hadn’t she? And Hades had nearly had her killed today. It all made perfect sense, and for a little while she could even see it all playing out in her head…The kind blond girl turning ferocious and attacking Danna like she was a dog or something. It took Jesse’s arrival to be reminded that it was all just a game and that she was playing her part fabulously.
Glancing up at Jesse, Danna smiled wearily. “I’m fine. Just trying to get information out of her,” she explained, eyes turning back to the young girl. She relaxed a bit as he placed his arms around her in a side hug, his lips pressing into her soft hair. It was more of a natural reaction than anything for their parts, but it worked well enough. “I’m not sure. She says she’s unclaimed and doesn’t seem to remember what happened, though I’m not sure if I should believe her or not. She could be possessed, controlled, anything…I just have no idea how to figure any of it out,” she sighed in aggravation. Of course, the perfect answer would be to torture it out of her, but she wasn’t going to get to that just yet.

Eden's head was throbbing, and it was really hard for her to focus upon anything in particular. That was including what Danna was accusing her of. No matter what she said, Eden simply could not believe her. She didn't like accusing people of lying, but what else was she supposed to believe. Never in her life had she hurt anyone, she had hurt people...but not by means of physical force. Her chest felt tight, her head throbbing...on top of the pain she already felt, straining her mind to try and remember something... anything, well it wasn't making things any easier on herself.
Eden sighed to herself, becoming frustrated as she let her head fall back against the wall. Her eyes closed, wishing that she could just block everything else. That this would all just turn into one big nightmare and any moment she'd wake up and it would all be okay. That sounded nice, but it was far too food to be true. No matter how hard she wished and hoped, nothing was going to change. With reluctancy, her blue eyes opened however instead of looking at Danna, she kept her gaze focus upwards. She began to tug on the chains once more...this just wasn't fair. Eden wasn't a violent person, she'd never hurt anyone...there had to be some sort of misunderstanding.
"No...I don't because someone hit me on the head..." It was impossible to hide her frustrations, this simply couldn't be true. Never would she ever do something like this, least of all to someone she had once thought was going to help her. Directions was all that she had asked for...she didn't want any of this. Of course it was hard to deny it all once Danna spoke again. She forced her full attention back on the woman standing in front of her. A gasp escaped her lips, despite her best efforts to hide it. Her words, she could deny time and time again...but the wounds, the bite and scratches...it was hard to deny physical evidence.
She slowly shook her head back and forth. "No...I wouldn't...I'd never do that to anyone...." Eden protested her voice weak from shock...it was impossible to believe...but since her memory was as horrible as it was, anything was possible. She squeezed her eyes shut, lowering her head once more. She tried to lift her hands up but of course because of the chains she found herself unable to do so. "Why...why would I do something like that...I'd never...I ju---" Her heart...her instincts were screaming at her not to believe it...but it was impossible to deny anymore... "I'm so...so sorry..."
This was just her luck...it wouldn't be just a random person that she happened upon, but a goddess...which in turn made her doubt the woman's stories once more. She swallowed, forcing her blue eyes upon her, her expression was hard. Masking all that she was feeling. "Story...everything I say is the truth, though they same can't be said about you. What goddess gets overpowered by a demigod I've never even heard of you, a goddess worth something now I can understand why someone would be out to get them. But I've never even heard of you..." Eden never was this mean...but desperation pushed people to do things they normally wouldn't...and she was desperate...very much so..,
Eden's felt her heart drop when a man entered the room. The way he was with the other woman...it was quite obvious that Eden wasn't the one he was here to help. It was pathetic, she was the one chained to a wall and yet somehow the other woman was the victim. Yes because that makes perfect sense. "You are both out of your minds...get information from me? I've told why I was here you just won't listen. You're wasting your time..." she wanted to say they weren't going to get away with this...that someone would notice she was gone...but who knew how true that really was....

It was easy to become agitated when the goddess of manipulation couldn’t easily make the girl believe whatever it was she wanted. She had gone through the trouble of biting and scratching herself to make the whole thing seem real, and it was only with that that Eden even started to believe her. Of course, she hadn’t been focusing much on the magical side of things and had been more reliant on her talent with acting and lying. At least Eden seemed to start believing her, at least for a short time. Mentioning she was a goddess, however, only put doubts back in the girl’s head and Danna’s face fell when the girl spoke, her emerald eyes flashing dangerously as she spoke. That girl had some nerve…After all of the bullshit from Ares, Hera, and Hades she had to put up with, she was not about to let some worthless piece of shit demigod start onto her, too. Danna grinned a very malicious smile, raising her eyebrows questioning.
“Oh? Is that so?” she drawled, slowly stepping forward and reaching out, sliding her hands around Eden’s neck, slowly tightening them. “Then let me inform you of just who I am, since even that ridiculous Camp of yours seems to think as lowly of me as everyone else. I am Danica, the goddess of torment and manipulation. I am also a hundred and ten years old, which is why so many people neglect to mention me and why they underestimate me, but it’s a fool’s mistake, Miss Eden, and one I encourage you not to make,” she warned, tightening her hand even more round the girl’s neck. “I was also banished to Earth today by the queen herself and chased out of the Underworld by hellhounds because the darling “lord” himself set them on me. Now with two such big names as enemies, maybe you should keep in mind why such powerful gods had to go through such measures on someone so young and inexperienced and why the god of death himself failed in killing me,” she hissed, reaching up to enclose her other hand around the girl’s neck, too. “I would also remember, Eden, that you are a demigod…a mere half blood…And you can die by mortal means,” she reminded her, tightening her hands around her neck for emphasis, “as well as godly,” she added, staring hard at Eden, feeling her powers swirl up inside of her, pressing out through her skin and focusing them into her fingertips and into Eden.
It was a fine power, one she had often used in the Fields of Punishment to torment the restless and damned souls. She didn’t need any weapon in this room so long as she had this…She could make her feel as if her insides were on fire, as if every inch of her body inside and out was in the most unexplainable of pains. The girl wanted to push her? Well she had succeeded. With both hands secure and tight around her neck, Danna pushed as much power as she could into Eden without killing her. The shock of pain could very well kill a person (as she had learned just a couple of months ago), and as tempting as it was to get rid of this mouthy little wench, she still had a hatred towards the leader of the dead, and she did not feel like surrendering any sort of peace offering. She didn’t want peace with that piece of shit, she wanted revenge…She’d very well be working harder after all of this on her plan. They would pay…They would all pay for what they had done to her.
Finally, Danna sighed and unwound her fingers from Eden’s neck and stepped back, eyes hard on the young girl. Just because she wasn’t going to kill the girl, doesn’t mean that Eden needed to know that. She leaned back in her original position as Jesse came in. She smirked at Eden and tilted her head slightly, pursing her lips. “Oh, it’s never a waste of time, darling. You see, even if I were to believe that you’re being honest, you have greatly offended me. And for that? That, you shall be punished. Haven’t you heard? That’s what we gods do,” she said sarcastically, glaring upwards. “But you know. I pride myself on being nothing like them…Not nearly so arrogant or foolish, as to underestimate anyone or anything. So maybe I won’t do this to get information out of you. If we’re honest, I could have done that without you hardly realizing you were doing anything. And I won’t do this to punish you, because I’m not them. I won’t do it for power or for show or for anything like that…” she said, and most of the times it was true…Tonight, though, she was…Though Eden needn’t know that much. “I am doing this…To teach you…To teach you a very valuable lesson. That you should never underestimate anyone…And you should never cross any of the gods, even the ones you might deem unworthy of your time or respect. Because trust me…The big names aren’t the only ones that can hurt you,” she warned, holding her arm back for a moment before swinging the whip forward with all of her strength against Eden. The girl had just made things personal, and it was a mistake she would pay dearly for.
It was one thing for the others to think of her as nothing, but for this useless mortal being to try anything against her? Perhaps she was young, but she was certainly old enough to take on a stupid demigod. She wasn’t sure why people thought it was smart to push the buttons of your tormentor. Getting them riled up may have meant you had gotten to them, but it also meant you were doomed. Mortals were so stupid…It was amusing when they fought back, for the mere stupidity it showed. And if Eden wanted to be an idiot, then fine. That was her problem and Danna would enjoy very much showing her what happened to moronic people.

"Hmmm..." Jesse mused as Danna explained the situation to him, glancing up at him with a beautifully-performed, tired smile. She relaxed gently against his body, and he slid his fingers down her arm, lightly tracing the bite marks with his fingertip, and eyeing the deep scratch on her neck. "She did this to you," he growled, cutting his dark eyes to the girl in chains.
Jesse sighed and fought the urge to roll his eyes when the girl pretended to play innocent, even if that was exactly what she was. "She could be from anyone. Enyo... Dionysis... Acratopotes," Jesse said with a smirk, sitting down on the table Danna was currently leaning against. He fell easily silent as the girl spoke again, at first apologizing, as well she should, before her attitude took a hard left turn and she was insulting Danna. He could practically feel the hot anger coming off of the woman he loved, and he knew the gig was up. He grinned at the demigod girl, his dark eyes flashing excitedly. His show was about to begin.
Danna moved forward, slipping her fingers around the girl's neck and tightening. Jesse watched silently, listening as she spoke, promising that no one would ever get away with underestimating her, especially this unfortunate demigod. Jesse chuckled quietly to himself when Danna mentioned the hellhounds, the spin she put on it bringing an amused smile to his face. The whole pack had been after them, every single one, sent by Hades himself, and still he and Danna had escaped. She was right - the very God of the Dead had failed in killing either of them.
The tone of Danna's voice only grew more dangerous, and Jesse could tell what was happening by her word choice, if nothing else. She was pushing her powers of torment onto Eden, into Eden, forcing the girl to feel pain like she had probably never known before. He was completely mesmerized now, barely even blinking, not wanting to miss a second of what was happening in front of him. Jesse felt sometimes that watching Danna torture someone was even more hypnotizing and exhilarating than the torture itself, and now was definitely one of those times. It was so very tempting to reach out and touch her as she returned to the table upon which he was seated, but Jesse forced himself not to, not wanting to break the spell. He merely listened as Danna continued expertly with both verbal and physical punishment, his eyes wide and dark and getting darker by the second as she brought her arm back and sent her whip slashing down upon the defenseless body of the demigod.

Finding Dory wasn't going to be an easy task, she would have been foolish to expect that. Of course how could she have possibly imagined it'd be this hard...that something like this would happen. It was more like a scene from a horror movie if anything. Waking up in the basement, chained to the wall...the fear was impossible for her to ignore. Getting out of here seemed next to impossible, considering that she still wasn't quite sure how or why she found herself in a situation such as this to begin with.
Apparently she had attacked the woman she had come to for help. But deep down, no matter what she heard or saw, she couldn't make herself fully believe that. Considering when she was six she had lost her temper and hit Dory, and she had never felt worse about anything else in her entire life.. So for her to just go crazy and attack someone for no reason, she could logically not come up with a reasonable explanation, no matter how hard she tried. That's when she knew that she couldn't believe it...why they ms lie, she had no idea...but she didn't want to stay around in order to find out.
Eden was normally such a sweet and optimistic girl..she'd normally never talk to anyone in such a manner. Though this was by no means a normal situation. It was true, she had never heard of Danica...of for a God to fear a mortal...nothing was adding up. Of course she wasn't given much time to thing about things as she moved closer and finally wrapped her hands around Eden's neck. Not totally crushing her throat, but enough that she found herself unable to speak. She was frozen for the moment, forced to look Danica right in the eyes as she spoke...explaining who she was..a very young goddess who didn't seem all that popular among the other gods.
She tried to pull her head back, to get free of Danica's grasp. Unable to speak, she could only glare at her...well until she stepped back, releasing the hold on her throat. "Well it's no wonder the other gods don't treat you with respect, you don't deserve it..." It was true...acting the way that she was, it was childish and she said she wasn't like the other gods...no she wasn't, because they wouldn't act in such a manner. Saying even that had been stupid on her part...and she'd pay for it she was sure. Danica brought her arm back and Eden realized what was happening as the whip hit her square in the chest. Tearing fabric as well as flesh.
Death of course crossed Eden's mind as she remained chained to the wall. Even for someone as optimistic as she, it was near impossible not to consider that an option. Her body was sore, but mostly she could feel the throbbing sensation the whip had brought with the large gash on her body. The assaults on her had stopped for the moment and she could only rest weakly against the wall. Her chest rising and falling dramatically with each deep breath she took. Even after that little bit, she wasn't sure how much more she could take...demigod or not, Eden didn't exactly have a high tolerance for pain.
She honestly didn't want things to end this way, and really who wants to die? She had left camp...who knew how badly things would get after that. Eden Blake was sadly learning the hard way why parents warned their children not to talk to strangers. All she had wanted was to be with her sister, to see Dory again..but because she wasn't really familiar with the area she had needed help in order to find her. Who would have known right there would have been her biggest mistake. "I left camp...someone will notice when I don't come back...you won't get away with this..." the words you'd expect anyone in this situation to say, she wasn't exactly trying to be creative or anything..
