There wasn't a single complaint to be heard from her however. Perhaps this was too much, but she was more than happy to help in any way that she possibly could. She had cone to the empire state building that day with plans to get up to Mount Olympus. Tired of being just another unclaimed demigod, she had finally decided to take matters into her own hands. Several hours of standing around, glaring at the guard, someone finally came down the elevator. And the person who had come down was the one she was so desperate to help now.
Melanie wasn't exactly a cold person, but she wasn't known for being an overachiever either. She wasn't the kindest person in the world, never been known to help a person for no reason at all. Danna wasn't quite like anyone she had ever met, and that wasn't because she had never met a god before. She had been fascinated by her from the start but her story was what truly draw Melanie. She was a god who had been unable to claim her children...and she just so happened to know her kids. Now she was going to help her meet them both, which explained why she and Danna were still together.
In the lobby of the Empire state building, after figuring out where they were going to go. Her attention was then turned to her cell phone in her grasp. The first message to Azrael, the easiest one of the two. She simply asked her to meet her at Re Sette and a moment later she of course got a message with Azrael agreeing. Then there was Christian, the harder of the two...Now his message consisted of inviting him to meet her at Re Sette. Along with something along the lines of making it worth his time...
And it would be, both Azrael and Christian would finally get to meet their Mother, something she herself had personally been dreaming about since she was a little girl. After the messages were sent, they left the building and didn't waste any time going to Re Sette...and inside back to the private room that had been requested. The table was a booth...and Melanie took the seat on the other side of the table. One of her kids would get to sit across from Danna and the other beside her. If need be, she'd be more than happy to leave when they showed up...but she was excited to see their reactions..
"I really think they'll love you." Melanie said softly,her eyes moving around the restaurant before turning her focus to Danna. "When they get here...I want to help you. Maybe we did just meet but...I do want to help you.." She just hoped that she would be allowed to stick around, this wasn't her family...but she still wanted to be here. Azrael and Christian, they'd meet their Mother...and also find out they were siblings...as far as she knew, they weren't aware of that... speaking speaking speaking thoughts thoughts thoughts - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -[/sub] { W E K E P T I T S A F E A N D S L O W } THE QUIET THINGS THAT NO ONE EVER KNOWS ### WORDS | COMPLETE/INCOMPLETE | TAGS | OUTFIT LYRICS BY BRAND NEW | TEMPLATE BY ARRO NOW GIVE THEM A NICE NOTE HERE!

MEMORIES ARE BITTERSWEET THE GOOD TIMES WE CAN'T REPEATTHOSE DAYS ARE GONE AND WE CAN NEVER GET THEM BACK It had been almost a month since she moved into her new home, and still it was so surreal..each time she woke up, she still couldn't believe that she was here. Being an unclaimed demigod wasn't exactly the best feeling in the world, though unlike most..she not only didn't have her Mother. But her Father was dead, the parent who had actually wanted her. She had been an orphan and at that orphanage for as long as she could remember. Up until a month ago, she had been sure she'd be there well until she was old enough for them to kick her out.
Honestly for the longest time, she hadn't even wanted to be adopted. She didn't want to depend on anyone...she didn't want to care about someone only for them to disappoint her. Of course that was before the Emerson family had found her, they seemed nice enough. So far in this month she hadn't found anything to make her think badly of them. Of course she still wasn't going to hold her breath.
There was a silence in the house, something that seemed rather strange to her. When she had come home from school, no one had been there...Well it at least had felt that way. Walking around she found Elena, but it was just the two of them. Melanie was over at a friends or something and Christopher was at work..a meeting more correctly. He called to check up on her everyday, and he informed her as to why he'd be unable to answer her call for a while once they got of the phone. Of course she didn't see why he always felt the need to check up on her.
She sighed to herself, turning off her iPod as she tossed it onto her bed and got to her feet. She was so bored, more so Than usual. The only choice of company she had in the house was too busy studying to be of any help. With Elena being home schooled, it felt like all she did anymore was study...not that she'd really know. She hadn't exactly been around long. The sound of her phone vibrating on her dresser beside her was what caught her attention.
Grasping it in her hand, the massage was from Melanie, asking for her to meet her at the restaurant nearby. Part of her considered asking Elena about it...honestly if not for the fact Melanie had said her name, she would have sworn she had meant to send it to someone else. Curiosity among many other things was what made her leave her room and then go down the stairs. "I'll be back later, Elena." She called before walking out the door. She considered getting a cab...but it wasn't far of a walk...ten minutes and she was walking inside the building. She glanced around the room but eventually she had to ask the hostess where Mel was and she was led to a back room. Now most normal people would sit by the person they knew however she took a seat by the beautiful blonde. "Hi, I'm Azrael."

let me know the way before there's hell to pay (GIVE ME ROOM TO LAY THE LAW AND LET ME GO)
This was the part of her plan she was dreading. Danna resisted the urge to sigh as she entered Re Sette, an Italian restaurant in New York City, with some strange unclaimed demigod named Melanie Emerson. She kept in character, though, the hopeful and eager mother goddess who was ready to claim her children, unafraid now of the laws and the consequences she would face for her actions. It sounded so very dramatic and soap opera-esque, but it had gained the sympathies of young Miss Melanie who had agreed to lure her children to Re Sette for Danna to meet them and claim them. She was an all too willing helper, a more promising recruit for her army than Danna had originally considered. The girl had been foolish for thinking she could sneak up to Mount Olympus, but her loyalty and her determination were promising aspects that she found rather useful. They were certainly helping her out now.
The only problem was was that Danna wanted nothing to do with her children; she never had and never would. Sadly in order to overthrow Zeus and the other Twelve Olympian gods (called as such, as though they were the only gods) she needed help and if she needed demigod help, she figured the best place to start was with her own children. Her story had been flawless to Melanie, and being the goddess of manipulation she was sure she’d have no problem convincing Christian and Azrael of her sob story. It would be one big happy family reunion, and Danna was not looking forward to it in the slightest. She’d have to play good mommy-dear now and then to keep their love and faith. It would require more effort than she wished to put forth for her offspring, but her plan was the most important thing in her life. Besides, demigods were only mortal. They’d die eventually. In another several decades she wouldn’t have to worry about them anymore. Perhaps before that if her plan went well and they managed to go to war and start this rebellion in their lifetime. If not, playing with Christian and Azrael and Melanie and the other demigods now would make it easier to get to other demigods in the future…At least she hoped so.
Melanie and Danna settled into a booth and Danna was half tempted to send Melanie off. She didn’t want to deal with more brats today than she had to, but Melanie was a promising young thing and so Danna would have to stay in her good graces for now to earn more of her trust. She smiled gratefully at Melanie’s words, emerald eyes glittering happily. “Thank you, dear. I hope you’re right, but I wouldn’t blame them for hating me. I should have been there more, should have done more, should have done this from the start…” she trailed off and shook her head. Yes, she understood that feeling all too well from her own neglectful parents. “Trust me, being born a full god and allowed to live among them doesn’t make home life with them any easier. Personally I’d say it’s worse…They’re actually around…You actually see them…But they’re never really there,” she said, confiding in Melanie something that most people like Danna felt. It was a bit too true and personal for her liking, but it was a truth that was shared among many gods born of gods. She told herself this and forced herself to let go of her issues with it.
“I don’t know what you could do, but I would be nice to have someone here…A friendly face to perhaps ease them a bit,” she suggested warmly. Playing nice was nothing new to her, but even this was becoming a bit much for her at the moment. Before she could say or do much else, the hostess led a young girl up to them. Danna swallowed and smiled at the young blond who resembled her mother far too much for Danna to even hope of denying young Azrael Katharine Vulcan. “I know,” she replied with a sly smile, not saying much else for the moment. She’d have to wait on Christian to get here before she went into the dramatic introduction.
They didn’t have to wait much longer. Only a minute or so after Azrael’s arrival, Christian Davek was led by the same hostess over to the table. His hazel eyes lit up when he saw them and he grinned, glancing each woman over as the hostess walked away. “Hmm…I guess this will be worth my time,” he said, sliding into the booth beside Melanie. Azrael was a bit young, but since when did that stop someone like Christian Dorian Davek? He smirked at Melanie and shot a wink at the hot blond beside Azrael.
Danna smirked and shook her head, unable to help but to be amused by him. He was her son, wasn’t he? There was no denying either of them. “Oh you won’t be getting so lucky today,” she murmured quietly, sitting up straight and wanting to shoot herself for what she was about to do. “I asked Melanie to bring you both here today for a very important reason. My name is Danna…I’m a goddess…And I’m your mother. Both of yours, Christian and Azrael…” she said quietly, voice low and half worried, half hopeful and showing none of the disgust she felt at doing this.

MEMORIES ARE BITTERSWEET THE GOOD TIMES WE CAN'T REPEATTHOSE DAYS ARE GONE AND WE CAN NEVER GET THEM BACK Sitting here in Re Sette with Danna, she honestly couldn't have been happier. You would have sworn she was the one being reunited with someone today. Her feelings were rather easy to explain. She knew how much she wanted to meet her real Mother, so to be here while Azrael and Christian got to meet their Mother. She simply couldn't wait until they finally arrived. Her weight shifted in her seat, trying to hide just how happy she was. Her eyes lofted up, as if hoping to see one of then walk through the door. Not yet, but she still had Danna to talk to until then.
"I don't think that they will...I mean once they hear your story, they couldn't possibly hate you... Maybe it's just me...thinking just what I would do. But if I were one of them, I couldn't possibly be able to hate you...and, I think they'll feel the same way." She wasn't just a random girl when it came to a situation such as this. She didn't obviously have a full grasp on their situation, but she very much understood what it felt like to be unclaimed. She could only hope that the two reacted in the way that she said.
Never being around a god before, she didn't know what their life was like. But being up on Mt. Olympus...she kind of just assumed that their life was perfect...or as close to perfect as it could be. However Danna's confession had her second guessing that theory. She was nearly overcome by the need to comfort her. Having your parents there...but not really there, she actually knew what that was like. "I...it may bit be the same, but I can understand what that's like. My Father...he's so caught up in his company, and in his work...well I know that he really didn't want kids..."
Azrael wasn't sure why Melanie called her to a place like this. She wasn't going to complain, going out and doing something was exactly what she had wanted. Out of the Emerson sisters, Melanie was the one that she had spent little time with. Re Sette was a place she had very little time at, well actually she had never been here before...but there was a first time for everything. When Melanie had called her, Melanie was the only one that she was expecting to meet. No sign of uneasiness was showing I'n her bright green eyes as her gaze moved from one woman to the other.
When she introduced herself, the last thing she had ever expected was what the woman in fact said to her. "You...know? How...?" She asked confusion there as her eyes moved from Danna to Melanie, trying to figure out just what was going on. "You'll see...I promise..." Melanie said softly, a reassuring smile on her lips as she spoke. Azrael would see very soon, not that she had any idea just what was going on. She did trust Melanie and this woman, whoever she was, she felt like she could trust her as well.
Azrael couldn't know anything though, not until Christian arrived. Luckily enough for everyone there, it wasn't even two minutes later that he was led to the table. Melanie hadn't been sure if what she had said would be enough to get him there, but apparently it was...She pushed her lips tightly together to keep herself from laughing at his comment. Not that he would be getting anything from them...Azrael was only twelve and his baby sister at that. Then there was Danna, his Mother...yes to his disappointment nothing was going to happen. But it'd be worth it, when he realized the two across from them were his family...
Melanie wanted to be there for both of them, and it was the reason why she couldn't leave. None of them knew each other. Melanie couldn't say she was close, but she was living with Azrael...and Christian, she had spent some time with him. Melanie let out a soft sigh as Danna finally began to speak. Maybe it was simply because he was closer to her, actually in reach. But either way as Danna explained to them just who she was, she reached out to grasp Christian's hand in her own, giving it a gentle squeeze. Maybe it'd be nothing...mean nothing to him...but she wanted him to know she was there..
"Wh-wait...you are..." First she couldn't help but to turn her gaze to the boy across the table, her brother..apparently. More importantly...the woman beside her was...her Mother...? It just wasn't possible...why now after all this time..? "S-She wanted to be here for both of you...but with all that's going on..she was afraid that it'd put you both in danger." It was her attempt to defend Danna and try to get then to understand. Maybe it was because she was still just a child. Either way, Azrael wrapped her arms around her. "I thought you didn't want me...want us..."

let me know the way before there's hell to pay (GIVE ME ROOM TO LAY THE LAW AND LET ME GO)It was disappointing that the gorgeous blond beside the midget wasn’t going to be putting out tonight. She was undoubtedly one of the most beautiful women he had seen in his life. He shot a half glare at Melanie for dragging him out here for what appeared to be nothing more than some girl gathering, though as long as he got laid by someone, he was fine. Christian Davek was not one to be fooled, and considering how easy Melanie had been in the elevator, he was sure that if nothing else he could convince her to do something in a cab ride home or in a bathroom stall or something. Of course, while his mind reeled over how to get sex, the beautiful blond was busy talking, and her words took a moment to even click with him. As Azrael responded, though, his own dark eyes flickered up in astonishment.
Meanwhile, Danna forced a smile to remain on her lips as her daughter wrapped her arms around her. She slid her own arms around the girl’s small body, trying to be as warm and comforting as possible, quite the feat for a woman who wanted nothing to do with any of them here. “Don’t be silly…O…Of course I did,” she murmured, kissing the top of Azrael’s head, into those soft blond locks she had inherited from her mother. “But it’s hard for…Well…us to have much to do with our mortal children. We have many duties up there and…Well, I figured your fathers would take care of you. I tried not to watch too much…It hurt not being able to be with either of you. And around the time you were both at Camp, the unclaimed demigod population spiked and scared everyone and…Well a lot could have happened by one person stepping out to claim their children…But I didn’t want to be scared of them anymore…You’re both so much more important to me for me to care what they think or say,” she assured her, glancing at Christian now and then to see what he was feeling or thinking.
Christian was torn. Part of him was happy that his mother was here…Normally so tough and unbothered by things, it really meant something to him to have her here now. Another part of him was angry, though. Why hadn’t she been there? Why hadn’t she protected him? Why leave him with a father like that? Why, why, why…But in all reality, she wouldn’t be here if they really meant nothing to her. Most demigod children were claimed with no contact to their godly parents, only a glowing symbol of their parent appearing above them to symbolize being claimed. But Danna, his mother, had come down here to tell them in person and to see them. And her story…Well, it honestly made sense, considering everything. He felt far more real emotion than he normally did, so he cleared his throat and tried his best to smirk nonchalantly, as if none of this mattered much. “Hey, Big Guy married his sister. You’re…Well, we’re all related in some way,” he said, easily sliding his arm around Melanie’s shoulders and winking at his mother. The girls could be as emotional as they wanted, but Christian was not about to fall apart. Or at least he didn’t want to. His eyes, though…It was impossible to hide that sad happiness and hopefulness that he felt just looking at her…Unable to take his eyes off of the woman who was his mother…The woman who, in the past few minutes, had expressed more care for him than his father ever had.

REPORTS OF LOVERS' TRYST W E R E N E I T H E R C L E A R N O R D E S C R I P T- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -[/sup] This was a family reunion, one sweet..that should have happened long ago. It was hard on some level for Melanie to not feel like an intruder. She knew both Christian and Azrael, but this was their moment. Then she had met Danna only a few moments before accompanying her here. Though she was in a way an intruder, she simply couldn't bring herself to volunteer to leave. She bite her lip every once in a while, while she was silent. Hoping that no one would ask her to leave, because if they did...she would have no choice but to listen.
She was truly happy for them, more so than anyone would expect. Their reactions were the things she wanted to see the most. With that she would also fantasize a bit about what she would do and what it'd be like for her if her Mother was the one here. Of course that wasn't true, who knew if she ever would meet her. With Danna came a sense of hope that she had never truly had before. She hadn't claimed her children out of fear, afraid that they would be hurt. So maybe, just maybe fear was what kept her own Mother from claiming her and Elena.
Of course they had to find out, and they had to react to it. That's one of the reasons why she wanted to stick around. She'd have been...well right now she was happy, but who knew if she was in their position. I'n case they were upset and they left...she wasn't super close to either of Danna's children but if they were upset, maybe they'd be more willing to talk to her. She was holding her breath quite a bit, something she didn't notice until she had to breathe. Of course she wasn't sure how well it'd go, from his reactions Christian wasn't all that happy when Danna informed him he wouldn't be getting lucky.
She simply smiled in return to his glare, it wasn't bad..and he would see soon enough why Danna had turned him down before he could even think to try anything. Azrael out of them all she was the most quite before things really started. Saying very little, instead her focus moved from one person to the other, all around the table. She wasn't sure what was going on...or why they other two were here. She didn't know them but apparently the woman beside her knew who she was. Being out like this, it was safe to say she had never done anything like this before. A random outing with strangers wasn't normally something she'd want to do. She was curios though as to what was going on.
She was being unadopted, another family was taking her in...these were her first two guesses....those and several other things. None of them were anywhere close to what the truth was. She had a family...a family that was actually related to her and they were sitting at this very table with her. Now perhaps she should have followed Christian's example, act calm...like it was no big deal. Sadly she couldn't help but to wrap her arms around Danna...her Mother. She had thought about meeting her often enough, not that she had ever thought it would happen.
Though whole 'try to act tough' facade was destroyed before she had even tried it. It was all because her Mother returned her embrace. At least she managed to keep herself from crying. It was a small comfort in itself. She took in a small deep breath to keep her emotions I'n cheek. Slowly she nodded her head, pausing a few moments before actually trying to speak again. "That's not what everyone els said.." She said pulling away, the joy she had felt was mingled with the pain she felt. "Being little orphan Annie has been great." She wasn't angry and Danna...but it was hard not to be bitter on some level. Growing up in an orphanage certainly wasn't the highlight of her life.
She sighed once more, shaking her head as she did so. "I'm glad you're here though...I never thought I'd get to meet you..." She explained quietly and for the first time since hearing the truth, her eyes moved to her brother. It was still such an unbelievable concept...she had a brother. They didn't have a lot in common physically...there were similarities yes, but not enough to to make her guess on her own they were related. She pursed her lips, honestly not sure what to say to him. "It's nice to meet you? I think?" She couldn't help but to laugh realizing just how stupid she sounded.
Melanie was happy for them, but part of her couldn't help but to be jealous. They had been unclaimed just like her..but their Mother was here now, she really truly did love them both. From how she was acting, to the what she had done now, there was no way to doubt her feelings for them. She wrinkled her nose at Christian's comment, no matter how true it was...she didn't exactly like to think of things like that. "I honestly hope not..." She said under her breath, half tempted to push his arm off of her. Her heart sadly skipped a beat, no matter how casual the contact...it effected her far more than she liked. "But you never know...I don't know who my Mother is...." She pointed out, smiling as to make it seem like she was just joking... speaking speaking speaking thoughts thoughts thoughts - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -[/sub] { W E K E P T I T S A F E A N D S L O W } THE QUIET THINGS THAT NO ONE EVER KNOWS ### WORDS | COMPLETE/INCOMPLETE | TAGS | OUTFIT LYRICS BY BRAND NEW | TEMPLATE BY ARRO NOW GIVE THEM A NICE NOTE HERE!
