YOU AND ME COULD WRITE A
* - - - BAD ROMANCE
Business was booming over winter holidays at Farrel Hotel and Casino Resort. So with the Farrel brothers, Richard and Robert, so busy admiring their profits and taking care of business, they didn’t mind much, their daughters going to visit a few friends in New York. It was an easy enough lie to tell…Jade and Lily didn’t know much of anyone in New York, but it was easy to book a hotel room and roam around the city making friends. Their success was glorious and certain to be undisturbed…Richard and Robert were too busy to bother with what mischievous their wild daughters could get into. So when Jadis Gemma Farrel got separated from her sister, she didn’t worry much. She was already half drunk and enjoying the town in a limousine owned by one of her new friends, a socialite named Viva, and her social climbing minions. All of that night and all of the next day were a blur of music and dancing and traveling, visiting stranger’s houses, drinking and smoking and flirting and making out with strangers.
Around one in the morning on day three she woke up with a hangover and having “Darren’s Magic Hangover Elixir” shoved down her throat before being lent clothes from Darren’s girlfriend Rachel before the small group pulled her off towards Grand Central Station. Jade was a bit confused, as none of these people were the crowd she started off with, but she didn’t care much. Her head wasn’t throbbing so bad by now and the group was actually quite hilarious, with their perverted, racist, sexist, gay, and political jokes. Jade didn’t mind hanging out with them, though she made sure to text Lily to let her know what was going on. Luckily for her someone else in the group, Cara, was staying at the same hotel as Jade and Lily, so she promised to show her the way back when they were done with coffee and breakfast. So far this had been the calmest morning she’d had all break, and she was dizzy just trying to catch up with all that had happened…What she could remember of it, anyway.
She felt light, almost like she was still asleep, though she knew she had to be awake. When everything stopped, everyone was moving again and she stumbled after her new friends laughing, before tripping and falling, bumping right into someone, and landing right on her ass. She erupted into a fit of giggles, cheeks flaming in embarrassment and too amused by herself not to laugh. She wasn’t drunk anymore, at least she didn’t think. “Well, that was mildly humiliating. Sorry,” she said, turning to the person she had bumped into.
