ABOUTME: Taylor is a girl who is easy to get along with. She’s opinionated and feels strongly about everything she does, and therefore she throws herself into everything. She never does anything half-assed, and so that makes her a bit of a perfectionist. She loves the country, all the wide open space where she grew up, and she loves riding horses. Now that she lives in the city, she misses all of that, but it’s given her a chance to experience the other side of life. Taylor fits in as both a city girl and a country girl, and both have their merits in her life. She loves music, and has been playing the guitar and singing for as long as she can remember. She writes songs in her spare time, and wants more than anything to become a successful singer and songwriter.========================================
BORNIN: Camp Verde, Arizona
LIVING IN: New York City, New York
MOTHER: Tia Abbot – Taylor loves her mother, and her mother is more proud of her and Camryn than anything. She thinks they’re both perfect angels, and while Taylor knows she can always count on her mother to believe in her, she’s afraid that would all disappear if she found out that Taylor was a lesbian.
FATHER: Apollo – Taylor has no idea who her father is, but more than anything she wants to know. She feels like a part of her is missing, and it makes her very sad around Father’s Day and other holidays to know that he isn’t there and probably never will be. She tries to be angry with him, but she loves him too much and is really more sad about not being claimed than angry.
SIBLINGS: Camryn – Taylor’s fraternal twin sister. They fight sometimes, but usually get along quite well. She knows Taylor better than anyone.
THEKIDS: none, she’s still too young
IMPORTANTPEEPS: Kimberly – Taylor’s classmate in fifth grade, and her first and only girlfriend. Nothing really big happened between them… they passed love letters in class and held hands and things like that, and Taylor only kissed Kimberly once. She was devastated to have to move to New York and leave Kimberly.
Grandma Valerie and Grandpa Charles – Taylor’s grandma and grandpa who lived on the ranch with Tia, Taylor, and Camryn. She loved them dearly, and was heartbroken when they died.
OTHERHALF: none
THEPETS: Sprinkles – Taylor’s little white fluffball of a kitten, who is like a son to her. That cat is her baby. He got his name because instead of drinking water straight from the bowl, he likes to dip his paw in and shake it off before licking the remaining droplets off of his paw, and it sprinkles water everywhere.
GOODMEMORY: Taylor’s best memory is probably the day that she told Kimberly how she felt about her, and realized that Kimberly felt the same way. Taylor couldn’t believe it, and she was all smiles for the whole week.
BADMEMORY: When her mother had to sell the ranch and take Taylor and Camryn to NYC, so they could go to Half-Blood Camp. Taylor had to say goodbye to the wide, open fields, to her horse, Fiona, and to Kimberly. She cried all the way to New York, and it was the only time in her life that she ever truly hated her father.
HISTORY: When Apollo came down to Earth just to have a bit of fun with the mortals, he never expected to knock up Tia Abbot. He only stayed with her for a short time, but she was starstruck by him. His musical abilities, especially, were astounding, and he serenaded her all the time. She fell in love with him, but that didn’t keep him around. He did, however, give her two twin daughters, whom she named Taylor and Camryn. Taylor was the oldest by two minutes, and while the girls were fraternal twins, you could still tell that they were sisters.
The two grew up together on Tia’s family’s ranch, and learned to ride almost before they could walk. Taylor’s childhood was filled with memories of her grandmother’s warm chocolate chip cookies, watching the sunset from horseback, and riding so fast she felt like she was flying. She discovered she had another talent besides horseback riding, though – she was excellent at singing and playing guitar. Her grandpa played all the time, and taught Taylor to play as well when she was old enough to hold a guitar. Even as a child, her voice was like an angel’s. Little did she know that it was a trait she inherited from her father.
For Taylor and Camryn’s eighth birthday, they got what almost every little girl at that age wants more than anything – a pony. Raising horses is expensive work, and the family didn’t have a lot of extra money, so the two girls had to share the pony, whom they named Fiona. Taylor didn’t mind, though. She was just happy to have a horse she could call her own, though she and Camryn fought all the time over whose turn it was to ride her, and whose turn it wasn’t to clean her stall. All in all, it was a happy time for the family.
Taylor had always known she was different, and now that the other girls were beginning to talk about boys, she didn’t care at all. Boys never attracted her attention the way that girls did. There was a girl named Kimberly in her fifth grade class that Taylor found herself falling in puppy love with. The two of them had so much in common, and Taylor just felt amazing when Kimberly was around. She tried to explain her feelings to Kimberly one day, hoping that Kimberly would tell her it was normal, but it wasn’t. Kimberly said that she was a lesbian, and that Taylor was too, but it didn’t matter to Taylor as long as they were together. The two of them were inseparable, and Taylor had her first kiss at eleven years old, shyly pressing her lips to Kimberly’s one summer afternoon behind the barn.
Of course, tragedy is never far behind. Taylor’s grandma and grandpa were driving the ranch’s prized stallion, Sysco, to the vet for a checkup when they got into an accident. It was a head-on collision with a distracted driver that had drifted over the yellow line, and both Charles and Valerie were instantly killed. Sysco had broken both of his front legs, and had to be put down. Taylor was heartbroken. Tia was not only crestfallen, but with the loss of both of her parents and the ranch’s most valuable horse, there was no way she could keep the ranch. What was worse was the strange and dangerous things that were beginning to happen around her two daughters. Not even Fiona seemed at ease around them anymore. Tia knew she had to move the family away, and while living in New York was expensive, it meant that she could at least see her daughters. She bought a small apartment up there, and Taylor had to leave, no matter what she really wanted. She had to say goodbye to country life, to Fiona, and to Kimberly. She sobbed through the entire move.
Once in the city, a new side of Taylor began to blossom. She was better suited for city life than she originally thought, and adjusted quite well. She found that she liked to dress up and to hang out with friends, though she was always still a bit of a tomboy. Her friends all knew she was gay, and didn’t mind a bit. She kissed a few of them on dares and such, and the whole thing was like a game that Taylor just loved. She attends Half-Blood Camp in the summer, and is now going to high school, and while she misses the open country, the city isn’t so bad.========================================
