Eros is the god of love and of sexual desire, very similar to what his mother is the goddess of. Therefore he loves sex and love and romance very well. It is hard for him to remain faithful with such things on his plate, though he truly does love Psyche and tries hard not to let her find out of his affairs to spare her feelings. For his looks and expertise in bed, he is very arrogant and is offended when anyone claims to be better than him.

HISTORY:
Eros was born the son of the god of war, Ares, and the goddess of beauty, Aphrodite. He himself became the god of love, pleasure, and sexual desire. His life consisted of a happy enough childhood, in the love and care of his mother, and sometimes siblings and cousins. Even as a child he enjoyed flirting and through his adolescence onward was quite promiscuous. It was easy enough to have anyone he wanted with his arrows...The golden arrowheads created love and the lead arrowheads created hate. He is not horribly fond of the leaden arrowheads, but he has put them to good use for revenge and other things when they are needed. He is a much bigger fan of love. He adored romancing women and seducing them and loved making people fall in love.

In his youth, for fun, he would make mortals fall in love with him and would leave them heartbroken. It was a cruel game, but Eros could hardly help himself. One day he did the same to a goddess on Mount Olympus, a muse called Erato. She followed him like a puppy for months and it was nice, but he never used her for anything, only his own amusement. Later on he seduced Thalia and was soon aware of Erato watching. She was heartbroken and he knew it and he felt horrible for what he had done, so to break the spell of love he had put over her, he shot her with a leaden arrow to make her hate him. Luckily Thalia and Erato were both oblivious to the whole ordeal.

The incident sobered him up a bit and he made no more goddesses fall in love with him, though he still played about with mortals now and then. One day his mother Aphrodite came to him...Princess Psyche, a beautiful mortal, was said to have greater beauty even than Aphrodite and in order to reclaim her reputation, she wished for Eros to make Psyche fall in love with the most vile monster he could dream of. Eros went to do as he was told, momentarily captivated by Psyche's beauty, but he loved his mother and reluctantly set about his task. Her beauty was so distracting, though, that he accidentally scratched himself with his own arrow. He went away and told Aphrodite that he had failed his task. Enraged, Aphrodite set a curse upon Psyche that she could not find a suitable husband. Equally angered, Eros refused to shoot any more arrows for Aphrodite. In order to save Earth and her temple, Aphrodite released the curse.

Eros and Psyche married and Zeus granted her immortality. Eros and his mother were distant for a while in which time Eros fathered Psyche's daughter Hedone. He lived a blissful life with Psyche but was unable to stop himself from having flings here and there, mainly with mortals which were to be kept secret so Psyche would not know, as to spare his beloved's heart. Sadly when all of the gods were made to swear upon the River Styx to claim all demigod children, he had to reveal that he had fathered other children by mortals.
