The above says "The Point System", translated, of course, into Greek. Points, or rather the gods monetary substance, the drachma. Drachmas can be earned in different ways and can be spent on different things. Special things on the site.
The different ways of earning drachmas are:
- Each post is worth 1 drachma
- Creating a character FB is worth 5 drachma. You must join the FB group with said character to get points for this.
- Volunteering your characters or threads to be reviewed are worth 5 drachma. We realize it's hard to let people express their real feelings about things like this, so we'd like to offer points for the process.
- For every 5 karma points you earn you get 5 drachma
- Joining the site is worth 5 drachmas
- Making new characters is worth 5 drachma
- Creating mortals is worth 5 drachmas
- Creating Satyrs and centuars is worth 5 drachmas
- Bringing people to the site is worth 5 drachmas so long as the person PMs an administator claiming that you brought them to the site.
- Advertising is worth 5 drachmas. Linking back to sites is easy to track, but if you post first on another site you must PM an administrator with a link to the ad you posted.
- Affiliates are worth 5 drachmas
- Bringing another member to the site is worth 5 drachmas
- A 1,000 word post is worth 5 drachmas so long as you PM an administrator with a link to the post.
- Becoming a moderator is worth 5 drachmas
- Reviews in the review boards will be worth 5 drachmas each.
- You may offer drachma to get things done for you, such as graphics or character advertisements. 5 drachma will be given for every graphic made and 10 drachma will be given for every graphic used. Characters created for other people will be worth 5 drachma. If you do offer points for these things, you must PM a staff member when everything is COMPLETE so that we may give out the points properly.
- RPing with someone new gets you 10 drachma. To make sure you actually keep this up and keep out of cliques, we offer 2 drachma for every post you do in a thread with someone outside of your clique. Each new thread you do after that with a "new/different" person will earn you 5 drachma until you have done 5 threads with that person. Each thread must contain multiple posts from each person.
- Each male character you make is worth 10 drachmas
- Being made a global moderator is worth 10 drachmas
- Being made an administrator is worth 20 drachmas
- All completed threads are worth 50 drachmas. The thread must exceed six posts to count. It must actually appear complete and not unfinished or just at six posts and you claim it came to an end. We know what a finished thread looks like. Any finished thread that exceeds one page will get an additional 10 drachma for each page past.
- You may give your own drachma to other people, should you so choose.
There are, of course, ways to lose drachma.
- The main way is by breaking rules. Break a rule once, you lose 5 drachma. Break the same rule a second time, you lose 10 drachma. Break the same rule a third time, you lose 20 drachma. What you lose doubles each time you break the same rule.
- Being rude to staff members is another way to lose drachma. If you have a problem, bring it up in a polite way. I've had problems with people who liked to act as if though they were in charge and were really very snotty. If you give the staff problems, you will lose drachma based on the severity of the issue.
- Mean and bullying reviews in the review board will lose you 20 drachmas
And of course, if you're earning drachmas, there are things you are able to spend them on...Certain privlidges, of course.
- You can create a minor god for 50 drachmas, though there is no guarantee the character will be accepted and you will not lose drachmas if it is not. You must have at least 10 posts, as well, to get this as well.
- You can have a sub board you want created (if it's nothing too ridiculous and the admins agree on it) for 100 drachmas
- You can create a major god for 200 drachmas, though there is no guarantee the character will be accepted and you will not lose drachmas if it is not.
- Special abilities for demigods (such as charmspeaking or fire, like the rare abilities of children of Aphrodite and Hephaestus) cost 200 drachma and there will be a coin flip to make sure this doesn't get out of control. If the coin flip says you can have it, you have to pay up 200 drachma, but if it comes up no you must remove it from your app and you can keep your money. If by chance more than one person achieves the right amount of drachma and the coin flip says yes, we will have to monitor the amount of people getting a special ability.
- You can become a temporary moderator for two weeks for 250 drachmas, a position that can become permanent if you wish and the admins think you would make a fine addition to the team.
- You can create an original god for 300 drachmas, though we will only allow 5 to be created. Only one per person.
- You can create a mortal who can see through the mist for 300 drachmas or let a mortal you already have be able to see through it. This only applies to one character.
- You can create a second major god (applies if you have already created one of them) for 400 drachmas. This allows others to have a chance if they so want one, so you would have to earn more to get a second one.
- You can apply for a baby for 500 drachmas. The baby application does not have to be accepted and if it is not you can keep the money, but to save from having everyone and their mom's reproducing, you have to pay.
- You can become a temporary moderator for a month for 500 drachmas, a position that can become permanent if you wish and the admins think you would make a fine addition to the team.
- You can create a Titan for 600 drachmas
- You can create an original child of the Big Three (Zeus, Posiedon, and Hades) for 1,000 drachmas, though only 3 will be allowed. Only one per person.
- Having two gods reproduce will cost more than just 500, considering it will create a new Original god. The cost for two gods reproducing will be 2000 drachmas
- A second original god will cost you 3000 drachmas, and it must be the child of two gods on site doing a baby application. Once the five spots are filled up, people who have never had an original god will pay the 3000 and it must still be the child of two gods played here on COO as a result of a child application.
- A third original god must follow the same rules as the second original god and will act as second original god to those who are first timers per the rules above. This will cost 10,000 drachmas
