GOODMEMORY:
Inspiring Shakespeare's comedies. They weren't the comedies of today, with gut-busting laughter from amazing jokes and ridiculous violence, but those were in the days before that and Shakespeare was one of her favorite artist's and enjoyed inspiring his works.
BADMEMORY:
When a mortal man named Henry broke her heart. She was always one for happy endings, what with being the muse of comedies, and expected to live a happily ever after with Henry...Foolish dreams since he was a mortal.
HISTORY:
With nine consecutive days of lovemaking, Zeus and Mnemosyne bore 9 daughters, known as the nine Olympian Muses. The gods are not particularly known for being very attentive parents...It is a difficult task when you have so many, but Thalia had her sisters and was never lonely. Their mother did see them rather frequently, and they saw their father now and then. They were cared for by Nymph Eufime and god, their half brother, Apollo, who later trained them in the arts. They dedicated the first good bit of their lives to the arts. As they got older they began spending their time entertaining the other gods and enjoying each other's company, and Thalia was known for being quite the romantic...Obsessed with her happy endings and falling in love.
She was far more serious back in those days and was just as obsessed with the concept of love as Erato, it seemed. Down on Earth during their first visit she was thrilled. She loved the attention she got and even spent a bit of time with a mortal man named Andras. She thought she was in love, but it was too much too soon. She gave away her virtue and felt humiliated and regretful of the loss, but it didn't end there. She found herself infatuated with many gods back in Mount Olympus and had her fun with many of them, including Eros, the god her sister Erato was in love with. She felt horrible for it, but didn't dare admit she had known of Erato's feelings to spare her sister further pain.
Mount Olympus began moving West, settling where they needed to be, and they landed in England just in time for her to meet and influence Shakespeare. She spent a lot more days down on Earth in the days of William Shakespeare and felt more alive and useful and proud than ever watching his plays and inspiring him. His death was a sad day for Thalia, but it was easy to return to Mount Olympus for a while. She returned to her ways of falling in infatuation and quickly getting over it the time the fun was over. She enjoyed her life and made sure she stayed happy, no matter what, always sure she'd have her happily ever after one day, and why not enjoy life before then?
In the late 19th century she met a mortal man named Henry and fell in love, spending more and more days on Earth. She spent many years spending much time on Earth with him until one day Aphrodite made him fall in love with another mortal woman named Wendy. Thalia was devestated, but returned to Mount Olympus, swearing to never return to Earth again. She refused to stay down for long, though, and at least acted happy once more. It was hard to remain down, though, with her nature and she grew more easy going and more fun loving after that, putting no thought into her future or her actions, living for the moment and avoiding any issues that might arise from it.
The definition of comedy received new meaning in the following century and it was something Thalia enjoyed. Things changed in the mortal world and she loved what the mortals found amusing these days. With what mortals are like these days, Thalia has become a bit wilder and more fun than ever before. She loves her life as it is now, enjoying herself more than ever.========================================
