Brianne seems like a very sweet person, and she just may be. She seems so oblivious to things, so very innocent and bubbly and compassionate. Her intentions are never truly bad and she never does things out of spite. Everything she does, she truly believes is for the good. Sadly her perception of what is right is slightly skewed. She is a very obsessive person by nature, even more so since being cursed by the goddess Hera (or Juno, Brianne knew her as).

Her best memory was the day she succeeded in kidnapping Kayla, achieving her dream (finally) of having some sort of family.

HISTORY:
Brianne Echolls was born to Joanne Echolls two years after the death of her husband. Her father was the Roman god Mercury, though no one could know that. Joanne told people she was raped, so they would feel sorry for her, not gaining her any love with the god. At the age of two, Joanne took Brianne to the Roman half blood camp, the First Legion, where she was tested with the others. Only the strongest survived or Lupa threw them to the hungry lycanthropes just outside of camp. Luckily, Brianne passed the test. She grew up in the harsh and commanding conditions of The First Legion while Joanne spread sob stories of her poor baby girl being kidnapped, dramatizing it with a man raping her and drugging her before taking her child. Brianne never heard any of this, though, as she was trained to be a warrior.

It was at camp that Brianne fell in love with a young son of Venus named Benji Martin. Brianne lost her virginity at the age of fourteen and hasn't stopped since. Benji loved sex and so did Brianne. When Benji dumped her for Janet Harlow, Brianne was already over him and onto her next lover. She was a charming young thing who appeared so innocent, that her true sexual nature was a pleasant surprise to most boys. Brianne even caught the attention of the god Jupiter, though that didn't end well for her. At seventeen, her fling with the god had ended all hope for her dreams of a family ever coming true. Juno, the queen of the gods, was furious. As the goddess of families, she cursed Brianne to never be able to have a proper family. Her daughter, the goddess of childbirth, owed her a favor, so Juno also made sure that not only would Brianne not bear a child of her husband's, but anyone's child ever. Brianne was devastated, but held onto hope that things might change.

At eighteen she married a son of Mars named Nick, but her inability to bear children and her frustrations with the fact ended their marriage within two years. Just two years later she met Mike, but that marriage failed the same way after three years. Brianne was miserable, but decided to go through with her dream of teaching, figuring teaching young children was the closest she'd get to her dreams. She finished college in San Fransisco and went to teach at Sherman Avenue Elementary School in Vicksburg, Louisiana for a few years before one wonderful student entered her life. Kayla Crooks was adorable and always so bright and happy. She was her star student, her favorite among them all. Of course, Brianne didn't get any ideas until her colleagues remarked about how the young Kayla could pass for her daughter.

During the year, Brianne worked on her plan. She resigned from her job and got fake papers and a house in South Carolina and everything she would need. Then, at the end of the year, Brianne contacted her criminal brother who was recently released from prison after robbing a bank. The two sneaked into the Crooks household and stole the sleeping Kayla away in the night. In her new home, Brianne was happier than ever, even with Kayla's heartbreak. She would make it all better, she told herself, and she and Kayla (who she named Leanne) would be happy together one day. Still, when the Crooks family came looking for Kayla, Brianne decided to move and took Leanne to Canada.

Brianne home schooled Leanne and worked as a waitress at a diner by day, leaving Leanne with her babysitter of a brother or alone, locked away in the house. Leanne tried to run away a few times, but Brianne stopped her and beat her to assure she never left again, telling herself it was for the best. She truly did love Leanne, but her poor daughter was determined to hate her. Brianne had high hopes for their future, but at fifteen Leanne ran away. Brianne searched high and low around Canada for her for years to no avail. Brianne returned to Canada, hopeless, until she came upon a poor orphaned girl named Gracie. Brianne took her in and called her Marianne and Gracie seemed to like having a home. She went to school and Brianne never had to worry about her running away.

But she did. At sixteen, Marianne was gone and Brianne was left confused and heartbroken again. She's been hunting down her long lost daughters ever since, and trying to create for herself the family that was always denied to her.
