She acts like she's strong, confident, and put together...She likes to think that she is. Her life of travel and stealing and gambling and surviving keeps her mind off of things, buts he's lonely and very bitter with what her life turned out to be. Margaret recognized him from magazines and as one of her customers, but all Theo knows is his name and she hates him.

GOODMEMORY:
Her best memory is probably the day she was told what she was. Despite hating it now, it did offer her a chance to get away from her world in Texas.
BADMEMORY:
Her worst memory were all of her years at Camp Half Blood, being a daughter of Aphrodite and never feeling like she fit in anywhere but with the Hermes cabin, and they didn't think very highly of her for a while.
HISTORY:
Aphrodite loved the famous and the good looking. Charles Woodruff was an easy choice of a lover for her to take and with his good looks and talent, the perfect father for a child. When Aphrodite left the baby girl with Charles, though, he was anything but happy and handed off the child to one of the whores he frequented. Margaret felt horrible for the girl and agreed to take her in and named her Theodora. It was a hard life for them. Maggie hardly made enough money for herself, let alone herself and Theo. They lived in a beat up trailer they could hardly pay rent for, but somehow they managed. They only ate every other day and only bathed once a week to save on the water bill. There was never electricity. Maggie invested in flashlights and candles to light up the place. Her toys came from the trash or from charities.

It was a hard life that got even harder when Maggie got knocked up when Theo was four. At five, she was an older sister to Malcolm Burdan. With Maggie often working or drinking or sleeping, Theo was often the one taking care of Malcolm who played with and ruined all of her toys. She changed his diapers and fed him and taught him to walk and talk and read and potty trained him. Of course, they had even less to eat with another mouth to feed, so Maggie started shoplifting and taught Theo to do the same, as Theo was less likely to get in trouble, being such an adorable girl and only a child. At seven her responsibilities became worse when Maggie had another baby, a boy named Phillip. Theo was put to even more work raising him and stealing more for the family of five to eat.

Things went from bad to worse. At the age of ten she was bullied more and more by classmates and teachers until one tried to kill her. She was rescued by a fellow classmate who turned out to be a satyr. He told her what she was and her luck seemed to be changing when she was taken to Camp Half Blood, away from the poor living conditions and the responsibility of two young boys. She was placed in the Hermes cabin for a few weeks and she loved it there. Then she was claimed by Aphrodite, after enough time had passed for her to know all about Aphrodite. She hated her mother for letting her life become so bad and hated her for what she had done to Maggie, or at least what Theo blamed her for. Her "siblings" made fun of her, as did the other campers unless they were trying to flirt with her. Theo hated it and she hated almost everyone. Still, she had to admit it was better than being back in Texas.

When given the choice to stay all year, Theo took it. As hard as camp was, it was better than going back to Maggie, Mal, and Phil, even if she did sort of feel bad about it. She trained and eventually became friends with the Hermes kids again and eventually others who warmed up to her and were able to ignore who her mother was. When she could get away with it. Theo would sneak and sleepover with friends in other cabins.

At eighteen, she finally left Camp to live life on her own. She didn't have a job and much preferred travelling and stealing and wondered how she wasn't a daughter of Hermes. She spent the year going around and having fun before returning to camp for the summer. She's back out in New York again, living it up and actually somewhat enjoying life for the first time ever.
