She is very smart and very wise for this. She tends to be very cautious and very protective of herself and her family. She can be quick to judge and very clever. She despises men with a passion for all the trouble they've caused her in both lives and uses her appearance and sexuality to lure them in and trap them, easily turning from a flirtatious girl to a very vicious one. She is very loyal to girls, though, and has a soft spot for young women and a very compassionate side when it comes to those who have suffered abuse and rape. She loves to be physical and loves having a good time, but she can easily get out of hand with things and can go too far with jokes or physical fooling around until it's too late.

Her worst memory was probably the one she holds from her past life as Rosario, being raped by Felix. It was the most terrifying experience of her life.
HISTORY:
It was late in summer when Pilar Lopez gave birth to her youngest child, a daughter named Rosario Teresa Lopez. She was welcomed by a loving mother named Pilar, an adoring father named Javier, and many older siblings: Carmen, Dolores, Alberto, Esteban, and Manuel. They were a Hispanic family living in New Jersey, Pilar and Javier owning an auto shop. They were a happy little family, but little did they know of Piper's secret. That she had met the god Hephaestus and had cheated on Javier with him, and Pilar wasn't sure if Rosario belonged to her husband or her lover. No one in her family even knew she was a demigod daughter of Aphrodite.

Despite her mother's concerns, Rosario grew up a very loved child. They weren't wealthy enough to spoil her in things, but she was very much spoiled in love and affection. At least from her parents. Esteban liked to bully his sisters and his fat, ugly brother Alberto. Manuel had been grown and in his senior year of high school when Rosario was born and left the house not long after. Rosario was very close to her sisters, though, and as she grew older began defending Carmen, Dolores, and Alberto against Esteban. She was their youngest sister standing up to their second oldest brother. Still, being that she was a girl and the youngest, Esteban didn't dare hit her and instead teased her more and more. Rosario was a tough little girl, though, and handled the abuse rather well and knew that she much preferred suffering from her tyrant of a brother than having him bully her siblings.

Esteban had even more fun picking on Rosario once she entered school and was diagnosed with ADHD and dyslexia, something that seemed to confirm Pilar's fears. Pilar herself was a demigod, and knew the signs. Still, she didn't dare say anything, too terrified of admitting what she had done. All she could do was comfort Rosario with all of the bullying. It began wearing down on her, but she refused to back down and fought back. Rosario was in numerous fights during school and kicked out of several. Javier considered sending Rosario to a boot camp, though Pilar always disagreed and assure him that Rosario was just fine. And things were fine. Despite her problems, Rosario still managed to do decently in school and tried to learn how to read even if it was hard.

She was always a bit of a tomboy. She loved working on cars with her parents and learning how to put things together. She was much better in math and science than most girls and loved playing in the dirt with boys. Rosario was different and everyone knew it. It wasn't until she was eleven that everyone learned of how different she was. Stories from Rosario about school assured Pilar that monsters were after her daughter, and finally Pilar confessed to them all of not only her own secret of being a demigod, but her sins in cheating on Javier with a god and that Rosario was the daughter of the god of fire and forges. Javier was furious, but at Esteban teasing and calling Pilar a whore, Javier retaliated and spanked Esteban until it bordered on abuse. He was angry, but he managed to forgive Pilar and still loved Rosario.

Rosario herself was very confused. She loved her mother and still thought of Javier as her father. She felt a bit bitter towards Pilar for lying to her and hurting Javier, but it was all forgiven. Pilar contacted Camp Half Blood and that summer, Rosario started. She met others like her and learned how to fight and work on making weapons. Rosario got along well enough with her own siblings, but also got on well with other campers. She was very outgoing and friendly and loved helping people. She almost didn't want to leave camp that year, though she had to. Now that she knew who she was, monsters were after her more, though she had learned enough defense to be okay during the school year.

It was a year that turned out to be one of the most horrible of her life. Alberto, so disturbed by all of the bullying, he tried to kill himself with a gun. Dolores walked in and tried to stop him, but accidentally got shot herself. Feeling even worse over the death of his sister, it cemented Alberto's plan and he shot himself while holding his sister's bleeding body. The Lopez family was devastated by the losses and Rosario herself suffered great depression that almost got her killed several times by monsters, but was lucky enough to have another demigod at school to take care of her. He name was Felix Falcon, the most handsome boy at school. He immediately befriended Rosario and helped her through her tough time.

When they were thirteen, Rosario and Felix began to date. Rosario was getting over what had happened and moving on with life, and the two were able to enjoy their time together at camp and at school during the year. They were inseparable and very much in love. Rosario viewed Felix's possessiveness as charming and felt very loved and protected by him. Everything was fine between them for a few years until they turned sixteen. Felix wanted to have sex and Rosario repeated many times that she wanted to wait for marriage. After several months of begging, Felix finally broke down and raped her, so angry with her for not giving in to him and saying so many horrible things. After the fact he apologized and was very nice to her for a while before repeating the act again a few months later.

Felix was mildly abusive, and Rosario later learned it was probably because of how abusive his own father was. Felix tried hard to be good to her, she could see that. At least it was what she wanted to see and to this day she isn't even entirely sure if it was real or all in her head. She stayed with him for a few years until Felix died mysteriously one summer. No one would ever tell her what happened...If his father had been too rough or if it was a monster. She only knew that her boyfriend and first love was dead and it hit her hard. She was depressed yet again, but worked hard at building herself up. She made herself hate Felix and hate most men. Rosario kept to herself and mostly kept the company of females except for the few male friends who had proven their worth.

Life was sad, but calm, for the next few years. She never even looked at another boy and did her best not to think of her losses. She kept herself around people, particularly her sister Carmen who seemed to understand her feelings better than anyone. She graduated high school on time, to the pride of her parents, and started learning at a community college, wanting to go into engineering. She still attended camp until she was twenty years old. Carmen was a substitute teacher at some high school in New Jersey when Rosario went to bring her some lunch. Rosario knew when she heard monsters attacking and recognized other, younger demigods when she saw them. No mortal knew what was going on, but Rosario did. She ran out to help defend the young demigods and died protecting them. She had done enough damage before her death for the others to finish off the monsters.

Most people waited a long time before they finally ended up where they belonged, most souls waiting a long time before they even actually entered the Underworld. Rosario's wait wasn't long and before the judges, the vote was unanimous that she would be placed in Elysium, giving her a time limit to consider if she would want to be reborn to try for the Isles of the Blest. Elysium was perfect, but hearing of the Isles of the Blest gave her new ambition and thirst for lie. She agreed to be reborn and was thrust back into the mortal world...As the child of her own sister, Carmen.

Carmen had found solace in a man named Scott Calhoun after Rosario's death and had married him. Carmen loved Scott deeply, but slipped up once and only once on a man she met her parents's old auto shop. Carmen liked to pretend it never happened, that it had all just been a dream, and that her daughter was really Scott's. The child who was born, they named Eva Luna Calhoun. Instead of being the youngest child, this time she was the oldest. She was spoiled rotten with gifts from her father and affection from her mother and life was good for the first three years of her life until Carmen began producing siblings. Each sibling meant less attention and less stuff from her parents. By the time she was eight she had four younger siblings: Micah, Noah, Mia, and Lola. They began growing on her and she did love them. At least until Micah and Noah decided that bullying their sisters was fun. Every time they verbally or physically abused Eva, Mia, or Lola, she would feel a sense of deja vu.

When she was diagnosed with ADHD and dyslexia, that feeling returned again while Carmen began commenting more and more about how Eva Luna reminded her so much of her sister Rosario. Carmen would get so sad and at times Scott would comfort her. Other times, he was mean to her. The older she got, the more she began to notice the bruises on Carmen's arms and it made her angry. She hated Scott and she hated Noah and she hated Micah. She hated most men, it seemed, right from the start.

When Eva was twelve, she began suffering more and more bullying from school and had a feeling that the teachers and students were monsters, though she knew that was silly...Until a satyr named Fletcher North came home with her and explained to her parents what she was. The next day, Eva noticed Carmen was bruised and bloodier than usual. It was the day she was leaving for camp, but there wasn't time to do anything and she wasn't sure what she could do. She worried all summer about her mother while training to fight monsters and learning about who she was. When she was claimed by Hephaestus, strange memories started popping up and as she learned about the places in the Underworld and the Isles of the Blest, more memories came to her as she realized what had happened, everything in her life began making sense. She didn't have all of her memories as Rosario Lopez, but she had enough.

Eva didn't dare tell anyone, for fear they'd think she was crazy. Eva encouraged Carmen to defend herself against Scott, but she never did. Life continued in the same pattern of fighting monsters during the year and dreaming of killing Scott in his sleep and during summer learning more and more and practicing more and more. At fourteen she was given a pamphlet about the Hunters of Artemis and thought about it all year. Before leaving for camp she explained her decision to her mother and found the hunters, agreeing to become one of them. She made her vow and joined them. For the past few years she's been traveling with them and fighting amongst them. She was there to help Percy Jackson and his friends when they needed help and spent the whole year at Camp Half Blood worrying about Artemis and was depressed when Zoe died. She was there to help fight in the Second Titan war and now enjoys traveling around with her sisters some more, proud to have survived a year longer in her second life than in her first.
