In theory, most plans seemed like a very good idea. It as when you actually tried to go through with them that you learned if really was good or not. In the spur of the moment, after getting her usual morning shower, Melanie had decided that she waasn't going to school. Her grades were perfect...her record spotless, one day wouldn't kill anyone. And by some chance the headmistress happened to call, Elena was here to help cover for her. Not that she was actually worried or anything like that. But it never hurt to be safe than sorry.
Of course up until fifteen muinutes or so ago, she had every intention of stating home. However sitting on her bed in a towel leaned over her computer, she had a different idea of how to spend her day. Maybe it was stupid, but she had asked Christian what he was doing. After a rather short, but interesting conversation, she was going over to his..well Nate's house. But it of course wasn't Nate that she was going to see. Out of the two, it was Christian that she even knew anything about. Not that there was anything wrong with his friend..she just simply hadn't made an effort to get to know him.
She had told him she'd be there soon and then after commenting on his status one more time, she finally signed off of Facebook and got off of her computer. She would be there soon enough, but first she had to get ready. After all it wasn't like she could show up in her towel..well she could, and she was highly doubting they'd complain...but she simply didn't and wouldn't do that. So that meant she had quite a bit of work to do. It all started with her outfit. As she let her hair finish up drying, she moved across her bedroom.
Opening up a door on her right, she stepped inside her rather large walkin closet. Most wonder why she owns so much clothing. But honestly, she didn't see anything wrong with it. Most of her outfits she only worse once anyway, and what she didn't keep, she usually gave away. She sighed to herself, her hands sorting through her clothes, each rack at a time. Pinks...greens..yellows..all sorts of different colored articles of clothing. After a few minutes she found something. A small and simple, yet elegant, black and white dress.
Perhaps it was a bit too nice considering she was only going to their house to hang out. Since when did Melanie ever not dress as best as she possibly could. Fashion was a love of hers and looking nice was essential, and why not? No real reason could come to mind as she moved from out of her closet and back into her bedroom. She was fully dressed, and her heels had been put on as well. Of course she had to sit down for that. At her vanity table, more correctly. Because once her outfit had been taken care if, there were others things she still needed to do.
Her hair, she played with it for a few minutes. Teasing it a bit, until she was happy with it. Then after a little bit of makeup she was finally read, and it had surprisingly only taken about twenty minutes after it was all said and done. She took in another deep breath, it was rather stupid for her to feel so nervous but she couldn't quite help that. No matter how much she wanted to.. What she and Christian were...it was the most undefined thing she had ever seen. It seemed since that day in the park, she had been running to him quite often. Enough so that he'd even called her a stalker.
Maybe it had been just a joke, she had a habit of trading him as well. But that comment had gotten to her more than she ever would admit. It had just been a one time thing, and very stupid thing at that. So this..going over to see him, it was almost her way of trying to prove better of herself. After years of turning people down..him putting his hands on her once had been enough to shatter any and all self control she possessed. She claimed not to be a whore...but after surrendering such an important part of herself to him so easily, it was hard for her to think anything good about herself.
Not wanting to have to answer questions, Melanie tried to be as quite as possible as she moved through the house. Before eye could leave, she had one quick detour to make. Downstairs to the cellar where all the alcohol was kept. She grabbed a few bottles...three exactly, three different drinks, so that they chance of someone noticing anything was missing wouldn't be that great. No one would, but she was always was careful when it came to this. Placing the bottles gently I'n the bag she had brought. That's all she needed to walk out of her house with it all clearly visible. She'd look like a hard core alcoholic or something.
This time around, the walk was easier...and she managed to get out of the house without running into anyone. A fact that she was more than happy about. A cab was what she needed next, and normally hailing one in New York city wasn't hard. Today, that wasn't quite the case. By the time she finally got one to stop for her, to say she was hotly annoyed was the understatement of the year. Now as much as she wanted to be rude, it was a waste of her time. So aside from telling him where she wanted to go, she said nothing until they finally arrived at Nate's house.
Paying the driver, she easily slide out of the cab. It felt like every time she was here, she forgot just how big it was. It wasn't like where she lived was tiny, it was just this place was still rather large. Her heels clicked softly against the pavement as she made her way up the driveway. It was weird not knocking..and she stood at the door debating if she should. Of course he had also informed her he wouldn't feel like getting the door and it sounded like Nate wouldn't be able to. So she had no other choice bit to open the door and let herself inside.
It was still weird, she bit her lip as she closed the door behind herself. Just as he had said, the tv was all to way to hear and she daily followed it until she stepped into the room where they currently were. "Your stalker has arrived." She teased with a laugh, a bright smile on her lips. "Deeppink]"And I brought gifts...sort of.." She began, holding up the bag. "though I suggest keeping Nate away from it for now." Alcohol was certainly not something you wanted to give someone trying to sober up.
