MYHAIR: Heather’s hair is naturally a light-to-medium brown, with a hint of red in it that is quite visible in the sun. Often she dyes her hair dark brown, because she likes the way that looks as well. Her hair reaches just past her shoulders, enough to do something with without being incredibly long. It’s naturally just wavy enough to be annoying, so she usually either straightens or curls it depending on what she feels like doing.
MYEYES: Heather has beautiful big eyes that are a crystal blue color. People ask her sometimes if she wears colored contacts, but that’s just the way her eyes naturally are.
MYFACE: Heather has a soft, youthful face that makes her look a bit younger than she actually is. She has a dainty chin and somewhat low cheekbones. She’s pretty in a cute way rather than a drop-dead sexy way.
MYBODY: At only fifteen, Heather’s figure is still emerging. She is a little bit short for her age, and her curves are subtle, yet feminine. Her body is soft rather than athletic or muscled. Her skin is quite pale, and no matter how much she tans, she just gets more freckles.

ABOUTME: Heather is a sweet girl who is easy to like, though she’s terribly shy at first. She has a gorgeous smile and her laugh is terribly contagious, and you’ll hear it a lot because she’s pretty easily amused. She’s a bit naïve, which makes New York a bit dangerous for her because she trusts just about everyone – she hasn’t spent much time around other people and she just doesn’t know any better. She didn’t grow up having a lot of friends, so things like slang sort of elude her, and sometimes she gets confused when people use sexual or controversial terms, because she never learned what they meant. Her favorite thing to do in the world is cooking. All in all, Heather has an angelic personality, but there is a part of her that is curious about what her life could be like if she loosened up a bit and did some of the bad things that other kids her age do.

MOTHER: Hestia – Heather has never met her mother, and it’s a bit strange to hear her father talk about her as though she is a little girl, even though that was how she appeared to him. Heather is proud to be a daughter of Hestia, and grateful for the gifts her mother has given her.
FATHER: Nicholas McFarlane – A successful businessman of Profoto, a Swedish company. He lives in Clearwater, Florida, sometimes anyway. Being so high up the ladder of an overseas company requires him to travel frequently. Even though she doesn’t get to see him anymore except on holidays, Heather adores her father, and it makes her proud when people tell her how much she looks like him.

GOODMEMORY: Going to Disney World with her father for the last birthday that she spent with him was the best time of her life. It was bittersweet, knowing that she had to leave him soon, but the two had an awesome time together and she holds the memory close to her heart.
BADMEMORY: Being attacked by a hellhound in her backyard at nine years old is a horrifying memory for Heather. She had nightmares for months, and to this day is terrified of dogs.
HISTORY: When a little girl that Nicholas McFarlane had only seen a few times before in a Profoto photoshoot showed up on his doorstep with a baby, “shocked” wasn’t quite the word to cover how he felt. He was too stunned to ask many questions as the little girl explained that she was actually the Greek goddess Hestia, and that this baby was their child. She told him everything there was to know about raising a demigod, and while Nicholas wasn’t quite sure he believed all of the Greek folklore she told him about, he could not look at the baby’s face and deny that she was his daughter. He named her Heather Anastasia, and although his life had just changed so dramatically, he loved his baby girl.
Growing up, Heather was a daddy’s girl. She was beyond excited to see him when he came home from work, and for the whole weekend she never left his side. Nicholas, of course, was busy trying to climb the corporate ladder, but he always made time for his precious Heather. She had a private tutor named Margaret Turner to look after her during the day and to homeschool her, as learning was hard with dyslexia and ADHD. Heather loved Margaret and did her best to make her and Nicholas proud. With the benefits that came with having a private tutor, for a demigod her performance was above average throughout elementary school.
Heather’s favorite toy growing up was her Easy Bake Oven. She loved making food in the little oven, and experimented with adding a few ingredients of her own to personalize the little cakes and cookies that she made. She loved to draw little pictures or faces on her creations with icing, and served them to her father and Margaret proudly. Heather loved cooking, and while Nicholas liked to think it was just in the McFarlane blood (for his mother was an excellent cook herself,) he couldn’t quite put Hestia’s words out of his mind.
When Heather was nine years old, she came in from playing outside, screaming wildly for her father. There was a dog outside, she said, a big mean devil dog. Because of the Mist, Nicholas could only see a very angry Rottweiler, but the bite marks that Heather had on her arm were obviously made by something much bigger and deadlier. Nicholas kept a close eye on his daughter after that, but more and more frequently she would tell him stories of terrible beasts and monsters attacking her, with a fear in her eyes that was all too real. Heather had always been a very honest girl, so while Nicholas was tempted to think that it was just a phase and that she was making these things up, that explanation didn’t sit well with him. Hestia’s warning about Camp Half-Blood haunted his mind.
Nicholas did some digging and realized that the camp was a real place in New York City. Nicholas was from New York, and his parents still resided in Staten Island, and they were willing to take Heather in. Nicholas’s career was going well, but with promotions came responsibility and more time spent overseas. It broke his heart, but he finally decided to send Heather to New York to live with her grandparents and attend Camp Half-Blood in the summer.
It was difficult for Heather to leave her father, but her grandparents were very nice to her and made her feel welcome. Her Grandpa Rowan had Alzheimer’s, Heather discovered, but it wasn’t so bad and she bonded quickly with Grandma Bethany over cooking. Heather’s grandma taught her everything she knew about cooking, and within a few short years Heather was even better than she was. The only other difficult transition was attending a large, New York middle school, as well as Camp Half-Blood. Throughout elementary school Nicholas and Margaret had been friends enough for Heather, and now she was being thrust into a miniature society of her peers. She was extremely shy at first and talked to few people, but eventually she began to open up.
By the time that Heather was old enough to attend Xavier High School, her grandpa’s Alzheimer’s had worsened and her grandmother was growing a bit frail. Heather takes care of her grandparents and loves to cook for them and for her friends. Even as just a sophomore in high school, she knows that she aspires to go to school overseas to become the best chef that she can be.========================================
