When Melanie asked her question, Dory’s cheeks flamed up and her mind was spinning. Of course it took a few minutes to calm down, looking around the room nervously and not daring to look at any one in particular. Of course, Melanie hadn’t specified anything sexual. “I’d play Magic with Taylor,” Dory replied with a wide grin, relieved to have thought of a way out of that one. “Soooo…Taylor…Truth or Dare?” she asked and upon the reply of Dare she had to think. She was far too embarrassed and didn’t know anyone here well enough to do anything too serious, but she didn’t want her dare to be as pansy as she had been lately. Dory bit her lip nervously and glanced around. “Okay, I dare you to stand on the coffee table on one foot and say the Pledge of Allegiance…Backwards,” she said proudly, managing to come up with something nonsexual, yet somewhat difficult.

This couch was becoming far too crowded. The party had started out fun, but Nathan just had to show up. Christian tried to keep in good spirits, but it was hard. He supposed friendship just didn’t mean much to most people, and he felt like a fool for thinking it had meant anything. No one had ever been important to him before, and it just assured him that this whole friendship thing was useless. Who needed friends? They were just as horrible as girlfriends or boyfriends. People were horrible. All they were good for was temporary entertainment before moving on. No one was worth anything because that was all anything got you when you cared about anybody.
Finally Christian just forced a grin and put his hands on Elena to lift her up a bit. “Move El, I need something stronger to get this night moving,” he said easily, sitting her down on the couch and walking back over to the table and pulling a bottle of vodka out of the bag and instead of returning to the couch, sat himself in a chair nearby. He felt much better on his own and popped open the bottle and took a long sip, chuckling half amused at Dory’s little dare. Girl was an odd one alright, but whatever. As long as everyone else managed to keep his mind off of things.

It was all too much for Todd. Everything was overwhelming him, especially when Gabe came to take his hands, dragging them up to her chest. He gasped softly into her mouth, and when she squeezed her hands encouragingly over his he positively melted against her. Todd moaned softly into her mouth, tentatively squeezing her breasts and pressing his palms more firmly against her. The neckline of her dress was low, so it was easy for him to slide his hands inside and cup her more directly.
The feeling of her bare skin in his hands was incredible. Todd groaned again into Gabe's mouth, kissing her more deeply and slipping his tongue into her mouth to stroke her own. He could feel tiny hard buds pressing into his palms, and it made him shudder and press his leg further and harder against her. It was incredibly dangerous territory, but right now Todd didn't care and stopping was the last thing on his mind. Todd made a soft, strangled sound into Gabe's mouth, exploring with his tongue and softly rubbing his hands over the small points of hard flesh that were boring into his skin.

See? Everything got better once you got to second base. Perhaps it took a bit of encouragement, but Todd was doing everything just right now. She moaned into his mouth, suddenly realizing that as good as it felt it might not have been her smartest idea. The amazing feelings sent off alarm bells, the moment his hands pushed down into her dress, they were off again as his hands met bare flesh and it was all she could do to keep from being too loud and alerting the others. Between his hands being occupied, his tongue in her mouth, and his leg pressing into a very sensitive area, it was hard to not just rip her dress off right there…Or attempt to. She wasn’t exactly strong enough to rip even that material. Gabe moaned a bit more into his mouth, feeling as if she was going insane. “We need…private…somewhere…” she mumbled against his mouth between kisses, hoping he understood what she meant and that her saying anything didn’t ruin the spell. But with what clear thought she had remaining, she knew that this was not the place for it or that if anything was going to happen, at least find a more discrete part of the kitchen to do it in.

Todd could not believe that anything could be this intoxicating. There had to have been some sort of spell over them both, something that had snowballed when they weren't looking, until now when stopping was impossible. He had no experience in this area, none at all, but his body knew what it wanted. And judging by the soft moans coming from Gabe, he was doing all right in appeasing her as well. He could feel her hips pressing downward into his thigh, and it made his head reel. She mumbled softly against his mouth that they needed to go someplace more private. Todd panted softly and nodded. "There's... this way... guest room..." he groaned back against her lips, finally tearing himself away from her to take her hand and walk them to the guest room that branched off of the kitchen, simply because there was nowhere else to put it. Gabe, of course, would have known it was there, but that didn't matter to Todd. All that mattered was being with her. BLACKOUT

Isobel laughed at Christian's greeting, glancing at Melanie who was currently dressed in nothing but panties, and Isobel as she still straddled his lap. She tried not to bring attention to the way he cleared his throat and looked away from Nate... Isobel glanced up at Nathan and saw that he too was doing everything possible to not look at Christian. Isobel swallowed and folded her hands in her lap, feeling terrible about the whole thing. They were best friends... and it was her fault they were fighting.
Fortunately, Truth or Dare provided a much-needed distraction for everyone. Isobel giggled with the others and glanced over at Nate when he asked if she wanted anything. "Oh, Nate, you don't have to," she said, then bit her lip. She was thirsty. "Ummm... what do they have? As long as it's not beer I'm not picky," she said with a laugh, smiling her thanks at him.
She giggled as Dory responded purposefully in the way she wasn't supposed to to Melanie's dare, before coming up with a pretty goofy one of her own. Isobel felt movement beside her and glanced at Christian, who picked Elena up off of him and went to sit by himself in a chair with a bottle of vodka. There was a slight bit of worry, even vulnerability in her clear blue eyes as she looked at him. There was more room on the couch now, but Isobel knew better than to think that was the only reason he had moved.

It was like being on a high, something she could say from experience. She wasn’t a drug addict, but she had had a very experimental phase a few years back and knew how wonderful it was. This was so calming, so refreshing, so nice…She felt exhausted, yet so very alive at the same time.
It took a few minutes for her to realize that she was laying on the bed in the guest bedroom of the Forces’s apartment. Not to mention she was naked and her best friend was equally naked and right on top of her. Her dark brown eyes widened in horror and all she could do was tighten her arms around Todd and bite her lip hard, glancing around the ceiling and walls frantically. Her heart sped up a bit, though perhaps not as fast or erratic as earlier. She was scared.
Todd Force was her best friend. You didn’t go around having sex with your best friend! Well some people did, but it could mess things up. You couldn’t bring feelings and sex into friendships unless you were okay with losing them, and Gabe was not okay with losing Todd. Maybe she had feelings for Todd and maybe it had all been hormonal, she didn’t know, but it had been a mistake. A very amazing, mind-blowing mistake, but a mistake, nonetheless. Gabe closed her eyes and murmured “Please,” quietly under her breath. She could just pretend to forget…Pretend she was so drunk she forgot the time she woke up tomorrow. And things he could fine.
She had to fix this.
What could she say or do, though? Part of her wanted to just slip out, but she didn’t want to put that damn gown back on and Todd was on top of her. Gabe swallowed hard, feeling far too awkward to say or do anything. This was insane. Gabe blinked furiously and felt the last of her sanity return to her far too late. Things had gotten way too out of hand…She should have known better, but she was stupid and had wanted it far too much for her own good.
“Todd….?” she whispered uncertainly.

Todd sighed deeply into Gabe's neck, feeling happier, more content, and more satisfied than he could ever remember feeling. Then again, he couldn't ever remember needing anything so badly, either. Something had taken over him, and whether it was his feelings for Gabe or his hormones or both he wasn't sure. But it had egged them on relentlessly until they reached the best sensations Todd had ever felt, and the most relaxed contentment afterward.
Gabe's arms tightened around him, her body tensing slightly beneath him, and Todd immediately knew what she was thinking. What the hell had they just done?! Yes, maybe he had feelings for Gabe, but did he have no self-control?! Just because you thought you liked a girl didn't mean you fucked her the first chance you got! Especially if she was your best friend!
Oh, this was going to change everything, Todd just knew it. He had ruined everything, just like he had been afraid of earlier. He should have closed that fridge door on his own head, it would have been better than this... This was both the best and the worst thing that Todd had ever done. He wanted to run away, to disappear and hide and hope that maybe Gabe would just forget. But he knew that wasn't possible... if he left, he would lose her for sure, and that couldn't happen. Nobody mattered to him more than Gabe did, except maybe Liz. So he held her tighter, squeezing his eyes shut and praying to whatever god or goddess was in charge of idiotic screw-ups to make this okay.
Gabe whispered his name hesitantly, sounding very small and frightened, and exactly like Todd himself felt. He sighed and pulled her closer, some other instinct in him knowing that it was his job to protect her and to make sure she knew how much she still meant to him.
"I'm here..." Todd said softly, his voice comforting but also concerned, not knowing what was going to happen now. He felt more serious than he had ever felt in his life.

Post by TAYLOR ABBOT on Feb 17, 2011 2:48:21 GMT -5
Taylor grinned and raised her eyebrows at Melanie's "truth" question, glancing expectantly at Dory. Dory was one of Taylor's closest friends, but it was hard for her not to hope that whatever Dory wanted to do, it would be with her. Dory was an interesting girl, a fun and unique person that was never anyone but herself, and Taylor loved that about her. She had also noticed that she had developed a bit of an attraction to Dory... not only did she find the girl physically beautiful, but she couldn't help but feel there was something else there, something beyond them getting along so well. Taylor couldn't be sure of anything yet, but there was at least the potential for her to feel something more towards Dory than just friendship.
Taylor laughed out loud, though, at Dory's response. She wanted to play Magic: The Gathering with her, and that was good enough for Taylor. After all, Melanie hadn't specified that she meant anything sexual, though after the last few dares that was the direction everyone's minds had gone. Taylor rolled her hazel eyes and shook her head, still giggling at Dory's ingenious response before she asked Taylor "truth or dare."
"Dare," Taylor responded between giggles, which only escalated again as Dory proudly stated her dare - standing on the coffee table on one foot while saying the Pledge of Allegiance backwards. Taylor's eyes twinkled when she looked at Dory, grinning at her in amusement and disbelief before she started out to the center of the room, Melanie's dress still in her arms. She glanced at the brunette, who looked highly uncomfortable and rather cold, and handed the dress back.
"Not that I'm not grateful," Taylor said, winking seductively at Melanie before placing a foot on top of the coffee table. "TODD, WE'RE CLIMBING ON THE FURNITURE!" she yelled out in warning before she stepped up, easily balancing herself on one foot.
"Umm... all for... justice and liberty with... indivisible, God under, nation one... uhh... stands it which forrr... republic... the, to and... ummm... what the hell am I saying?" Taylor laughed, thinking hard. "America of States United... the of Flag... the to allegiance, pledge I," Taylor finished proudly, smiling and bowing and hopping down before turning to Isobel.
"I'll pick on a newbie. Truth or dare, Isobel?"
"Oh, gee thanks," Isobel giggled. "Umm, dare, I guess," she said, still laughing.
"Hmmmm..." mused Taylor, stroking her chin. "I dare you... to pick someone in this room to give you a hickey," she decided with a grin before leaning back against the wall next to Dory.
"Oh gods," Isobel groaned, rolling her eyes and grinning as she tilted her head back against the couch. "Ummm..." she thought, looking around the room. Melanie would be funny, but after what had happened at the ball she didn't want to risk it. There was Nate, who had been so nice to her all night, and really he was at the top of her list... but deep down, she couldn't deny who she wanted.
"Christian, get over here."

It took this night to realize just how important Christian was to her. He was her best friend, up on a level close to Melanie herself. Who knew how it had happened...he just got her in a way that no one else did...and maybe she didn't know for sure, but she felt she understood him better than most. Which was why not a single protest left her lips as she felt his hand come to her hips. Lifting her off of his lap and explaining that he needed something else to drink. "Okay..." She said softly, a smile smile on her lips as she was set down upon the couch.
There was something bothering him and she could all too easily see that. But also probably unlike most, she could see that he wanted to be left alone. Which was why it was next to impossible not to glare and Isobel when she wanted him to be part of her dare..:Elena kept her frustration to herself..but that didn't mean she didn't have an idea. "Oh I actually forgot about something...," She stepped closer to her friend on the other side of the room. "Sorry Isobel, do you mind picking someone else. I really need Christian's help right now.." Her voice was serious but in her blue eyes, that only he could see. She was pleading to him, begging that he would trust her. She held out her hand to him and there was nothing more she had asked of him than this, "Please.." Her voice was soft enough that only he could hear. She only wanted to keep things from getting worse and she had such a horrible feeling about this...

Things were fine for a few minutes, but that never lasted long. He felt his heart leap a bit when Isobel picked him to help her with her dare, but it was all but ruined the moment Elena spoke. Any warm, fuzzy feelings melted away into sharp irritation. Was it honestly too much to ask for one fucking night? Every time he had a chance of having fun with Isobel someone was interrupting. His eyes darkened and narrowed at Elena. “Just because your own date stood you up, Helen, doesn’t mean you reserve the right to fuck things up for me,” he snarled, doing his best not to jump up and do more than just snap at her. “I used to have some respect for you and I used to think that maybe we were friends, but just like your sister turned out to be a raging psycho and my best friend turned into a traitorous asshole, you have shown your true colors as nothing more than one more obstacle in my way and one more thorn in my side. Now if you care anything at all about your own dignity and my well being you will go sit back down and leave me the hell alone for the rest of the night,” he warned, waving her off. It didn’t matter what people thought of him right now…He didn’t care what these people he barely knew thought, because they would never understand what was going on anyway. “Now if you will excuse me, I am far too pissed off to be here,” he said, standing up and heading towards the kitchen. “Isobel, if you still want me to do it you can always follow,” he assured her, calling over his shoulder, though he highly doubted she would after that display. It was always worth a shot, he decided, leaning back against the counter and taking a long sip of his vodka.

Cam glared as Taylor as she said no more alcohol. ”Buttt tayyyy” she wined at her trying her best to stand up, this time she was partially successful and she stumble walked over to where everyone was playing ”seee I am fineee”she said patting her sister before sitting down ”Hmmmm I WANNA PLAY “ she said just before Christian blew up in Elena’s face, she sat staring and could hardly peel her eyes away but she did, she didnt want to be yelled at next. Though ther was probably a reason for him yelling, Cam didnt know what it was but she guessed there was one. Thats when she spotted it, the loan beer bottle sitting just next to her sister she reached out to it and while everyone was looking at ELena and Chris she took a long deep drink then set it back down, a big happy smerk on her face.

Rarely anyone ever called her by her first name...very few people even knew Elena wasn't even her first name. The way he said Helen..he made it sound like the ugliest world in the entire world. She winced like she had just been slapped. Standing there...no would ever know how hard it was for her to stand there and take it...she honestly wanted to cry..but she didn't want him to see that...because she knew he didn't mean it...she took in a small deep breath, glancing over her shoulder to where the rest of her friends were sitting.
She consider going back to her seat, but she shook her head and with shaky hands she pulled out her cellphone..sending a text message to Isobel for where she stood. Maybe we should just leave him alone for now? I'm sure he'll calm down., <3' She glanced over at Isobel, just hoping that she would understand....Elena sighed once more, She cared about him and she was determined to make him feel better. But giving him time on his own sadly seemed like the best option at the moment...as much as she didn't want to. Reluctantly, Elena turned and went back to her seat on the other side of Isobel...trying to hide how close to tears she was.

Nate had never thought something like this would happen between Christian and himself... Of course never had they been after the same girl. Nathan cared about Isobel and he knew that his feelings for her were more than physical. "Anything but beer, I think I can manage that." He replied getting off of the couch and across the room. He was only gone for a moment before he returned to his seat beside Isobel. "Well it's not beer, though I hope you don't mind rum." He explained smiling as he handed her what he'd gotten. One for her and one for himself of course.
So technically she wasn't his date, but she had come with him. Minus the technicality that all their other friends had already left for the part. Either way, he had no intentions of letting Isobel go anytime soon. So no one would no just how hard it was to act fine when she selected Christian for her dare. It hurt a bit...but it was a game, that was all...not that the dare was actually completed.. In a matter of moments...Elena and Christian were both out of the room. Nathan honestly didn't know what Isobel would do...but he hoped that she didn't leave..they all knew Christian had a habit of blowing up when he was angry...and right now was no different. He reached over, taking her hand in his grasp and squeezing it in a comforting manner. Anywayyyyy how about in the mean time we should get back to the game. Well unless Isobel wants to pick someone else." He teased with a wink, there was no pressure behind his words...he just wanted her to be okay.

Could things ever go well? Honestly it didn't seem that way, this party had seemed like the night was finally turning around. Of course good things never lasted forever and for a time it felt for Melanie at least, the worst thing that would happen was the dare that she had received...but even that seemed like next to nothing when Isobel and Nathan arrived. She personally had done nothing but once again she was insulted.
She frowned, her eyes focused only on her lap. Honestly she didn't see what was going on..,Nor did she understand what it was that she had done wrong... She got to her feet, picking up a jacket that was hanging up on the wall...it wasn't much...but it was better than running around topless. Putting on the jacket, it covered enough skin that she didn't bother to zip it up. She finished off her second beer and before grabbing two more bottles she spoke. "I um..I'm going to go for a walk..." She murmured, and she walked out the front door. Honestly she couldn't have left fast enough.
Out of the building all together, just being out in the night air was amazing... She sighed to herself, leaning against the wall of the building...who knew how late it was, all she knew was that it was pitch black outside...and considering this was New York city, she was just asking for trouble. A jacket and panties...yeah that didn't draw attention to herself or anything...Right now she honestly didn't care. Melanie just was so confused, what was going on inside, she wanted no part. She cared about them all...and she hated seeing Christian upset but she also knew there was nothing she could do.
