Percy's attempts to sit up in bed were weak. His head ached, and his body even more. He felt weak, like someone had drained him of power during the night. Percy sighed heavily but it quickly turned into a coughing fit. "Great.." he muttered hoarsely to himself. The last thing he needed was to be sick on a Friday! Now how was he going to command his team in Capture the Flag? He wasn't. A sad truth he didn't want to face because the red and blue teams were tied, and Percy had a great strategy to pull ahead for a victory. He shook his head slightly, not enjoying reality. He rolled onto his side and glanced over at his nightstand-the clock read 7Am. Another half hour and the camp would spring to life. Kids running around, training, swimming, eating-all the excitment of Camp Halfblood. Percy knew that his head could not take the campers yelling. It would rather explode then take the addition of loud screams and battle calls. Resting his eyes, he took in a few deep breathes, then tried to sit up again. His arms trembled and protested, and he fell back on his bed with a poof from his fluffy pillows. Percy closed his eyes, just wanting to go somewhere quiet and peaceful. The Sound was right outside his door, but he couldn't get to the crisp water. Frustrated and overwhelmed he relaxed his tense body and pulled up the covers, snuggling into his warm bed. It's just a dream.. he thought drowsily to himself before finally drifting off.
Percy opened his blue eyes once more, squinting in the brighter light. He put a hand over his forehead. It hurt like heck and felt like someone had taken a mixer and fumbled up his brain. Sitting idle in bed was not easy for him. Sick or not sick, his ADHD would not quit. Percy remembered his past idea of getting outside which helped seem to rouse him. Another attempt at sitting up, and he finally succeeded. He put his face into the palm of his hands, his neck feeling weak and like it would snap off any minute now. Looking around his cabin, he wished now that he had a few bunkmates. Percy didn't really mind having the cabin to himself, the peace was nice and he could leave his stuff all over. But now he wished for a bunkmate or two, or just someone-anyone-to find him. So much for Percy the brave! Percy the Invincible! He could take on the Minotaur and Kronos but not the common cold. He chuckled, it was kind of funny. How such a little thing could make him bedridden and feeling like an old man all achey and weak. Since he could sit up right, he leaned over and grabbed a shirt from the floor next to his bed to put on. His hand found a blue T-Shirt and he pulled it over his messy brown hair. Percy shivered, it was cold out. "Just a little cold air, little cold air..I can do this.." he yanked off the covers, flinching from the air. It was (supposively) warm out, but the cold breeze rolled by, freezing him in place. His legs meekly covered by plaid boxers, and his chest a thin t shirt, did not offer very much warmth. Percy's mind was seemingly broken, like there was a loose circuit and he couldn't think. He just sat there on the edge of his bed trembling from the harsh air.
Soon, his mind came back and Percy clenched his teeth to keep them from chattering. This was not the start of a fun day. He momentarily contemplated his odds of making it out of the cabin and waving someone down, or getting to the doc outback. Checking his clock again, it said 11Am. Campers would have just changed to another class or something. There's always late kids that are late just to pis the teachers/coaches off, but that's probably not who Percy wanted to help him. Quickly grabbing his comforter off the bed Percy stood up slowly. He leaned most of his weight on the wooden nightstand next to his bed and his eyes stared at the wall ahead of him as he focused all his strength into remaining upright. He wrapped himself cocoon like in his dark blue blanket and took itty bitty steps forwards before slowly turning his body to the left to head to the doc outside. Percy slowly made it to the open doorway, before deciding it was close enough. He fell in a heap on the ground, moaning and groaning.

Something was right, and her gut was never wrong. When she woke up this morning, something just seemed off. That’s when she noticed that he wasn’t sitting at his table at breakfast that morning. It bothered her because he never missing breakfast unless something was wrong. Without eating so much as a bite, Annabeth began searching the camp in every possible place he could possibly be. He wasn’t at the beach or the creak. He wasn’t on the training grounds nor the showers; long story on how she knew that. Finally, she made her way to the only other place she knew he could be. There was no way he would just leave the camp without telling her first, right? Maybe it was a quest that he didn’t want her to be a part of. If that was the case, Annabeth was going to wring his neck if he left.
Those thoughts quickly died when she stepped toward the Cabin of Poseidon. A sickening thump was head from it, even if she wasn’t anywhere near it just yet. She broke out into a run and saw a lump on the floor in front of the doorway. Her stormy orbs widen as she dropped to her knees next to it. ”Percy!” Carefully, she turned him onto his back worry clearly showing in her eyes. Her eyes scanned over his face in worry. His hair was sticking up every which way, and soaked with sweat as was his brow. His sea-green blue eyes weak and tired looking, and slightly blood-shot. His cheeks and nose were a bright rosy red, which meant he was way too hot. Gently, she pressed a hand to his forehead and then his cheek. ”You’re burning up! What are you doing out of bed?”
This was why something didn’t seem right. He was sick, and badly sick. Why didn’t he tell her he wasn’t feeling well? Maybe he didn’t want to worry her too much. Unfortunately, seeing the invincible Percy bedridden from illness, made her worries become tenfold. Carefully, she took his arm over her shoulder, lifting him to his feet and leading him to his bed. ”Seaweed Brain, what am I going to do with you?” She sighed as she helped him lie back down. ”I swear, every time I leave you alone something happens, and usually nothing good.” She stood and went to the Fountain, grabbing a cloth as she went. She dipped it in the cool water, knowing it would help him greatly. Squeezing out most of the water, Annabeth returned to him, placing the cloth across his forehead. ”Are you hungry? Do you need some water?” It was obvious she wasn’t leaving unless he needed something.

Percy's limp body was piled in a heap on the ground. His head felt like it was going in circles, and his body ached in every possible place. He wasn't one to get sick a lot, but usually once a year he would be home, with his mom taking care of him. Percy's mind wandered to the thought of how he hadn't noticed many campers sick or missing. So where did he catch this bug from? People didn't just randomly keel over sick from nothing. Did anyone notice he was missing? Someone should have. It's not like the Poseidon table was bursting with kids. he thought to himself. Percy's thoughts turned to Annabeth; had she noticed yet? They usually smiled and stole glances at each other. Percy began drifting away, his thoughts all jumbling together as his blue eyes slowly blinked before finally closing. He didn't know how long he had slept, a few minutes or an hour. He awoke to someone calling his name and footsteps sounding on his wooden floor. They came over and gently flipped him over on his back. Soon Annabeth's face came into view, his pain momentarily forgotten. Her stormy grey eyes full of worry as she scanned over him. Percy tried to smile at her or just say something, but his body felt achey and burning. He wanted to hug her and tell her how grateful he was someone found him, but only a quiet moan would escape his lips. Percy closed his eyes as he felt her cool hand press against his blazing forehead and cheek. He had always run high fevers, but they usually lasted less than a day. Only another 12 hours to survive.. he managed to think. ”You’re burning up! What are you doing out of bed?” Percy heard Annabeth chide. His response would have been a lame excuse about how he felt fine and nothing could stop this powerful man (he would motion to himself as the powerful man) But his voice was weak, and his head felt like someone had been using it as an anvil, so his lame excuse of why he was out of bed was not voiced. Maybe he would try and talk later. Moments later he felt her support his weight and carefully lift him up. The comforter he had been laying on infront of the doorway slid off his fiery body. Annabeth laid him on his bed and he sighed, much more comfortable. Percy smiled as Annabeth referred to him as Seaweed Brain, an old nickname she personally gave him. His retort to her nickname would to call her Wise Girl, he felt both their nicknames fit pretty good. He watched as she stood up and headed for his fountain, snatching a cloth on her way over. She quickly came back and placed it on his head. Percy instantly felt like his temperature went down 1000 degrees. He sighed, the cold water was a good idea. Which was why he was trying to get there in the first place "Thank the gods you found me, Annabeth." he smiled weakly at her, "What would I do without you.."

He was burning up, and that didn’t sit well with her. It was unusual for a demigod to have such a high fever. It was unusual for a half-blood to be sick at all. When they were, it was just as he was now, bedridden… weak… barely able to move, even with the common cold. Percy equaled all these symptoms and then some. This wasn’t just a common cold… what he had was worse. The Son of Poseidon had come down with the Flu. He would need to be watched closely for the day, or even the next few days. Hopefully, this illness would last more than a week. If they were luckily, it would go away by the next day, but it was very unlikely without the proper medicine to help him. She would have to go to Chiron later and see about some medicine.
”What would you do, indeed…” Her voice whispered back to him tenderly. She ran her fingers through his sweaty hair affectionately. The gesture was a sign to show he cared for her troublesome boyfriend. It was obvious that she wouldn’t be attending classes that day, she be damned if she left him alone. There was no way he could handle his illness alone. He could barely raise his head, much less get up and walk. Which was why he probably the reason he was on the floor in the first place. She took a long shaky breath to calm her racing heart, knowing her worrying wouldn’t help him recover any faster. Annabeth sat back against the wall, gently lifting his head to lay him in her lap.
”Were you trying to get to the beach?” Since he was the son of the water god, it wasn’t surprising he was seeking the water for comfort. He was even able to manipulate the water to heal wounds. Maybe he thought that if he got into the water it would relieve some of the illness. Apparently, that idea didn’t get very far. ”You’re lucky Chiron didn’t come looking for you. He would have put you under house arrest for the rest of the week and then sent an Iris-message to your mother.” Annabeth smiled sweetly down at him. She couldn’t be upset with him being in the state that he was. She could have easily bit his head off for getting himself sick without telling her that he wasn’t feel well, but… when she saw that weak smile… her heart sank. Annabeth Chase, Daughter of Athena, had a huge soft spot for Percy Jackson…
”Is there anything you might need?” She raised her head to look around the room for anything he might need. He did need food and water, but that would mean she would have to temporarily leave his side for a few minutes to go back to the pavilion. Her stubborn side was telling her to stay by his side and have someone else go get his food, but her caring side told her not to let anyone else help her with him. Honestly, she didn’t know which side to listen to, which was something of a surprise to her. ”Are you hungry? Think you could, maybe, stomach some breakfast?” While she was gone, she was also going to see about that medicine. All in all, she went with her caring side.

Percy's mind began to come back after a few moments laying down on the bed. Some how he had forgotten he kind of already had the ocean in his room, his Fountain. A gift from his father, it was a spring of crisp salt water. He had planned to take the 5 minute walk in a heavy comforter, while sick, to get to the waterfront. Today was just not his day for thinking. Percy's blue eyes fluttered open as he saw Annabeth leaning over him gently sliding her fingers through his hair, making his heart race slightly. Where would he be without her..he still remembered the time when Ares and Aphrodite had stopped by in a limo during one of their many quests together. How Aphrodite had made plenty of comments about him and Annabeth, how she would take a personal interest in it and make sure it had its ups and downs. Percy remembered blushing at the thought and thanking her sarcastically for making sure it stayed interesting. Love seemed like such a funny thing sometimes, but he knew he had found it. He figured he'd shown quite a few times to many people, that he would just about anything for someone he loves. Someone like Annabeth.. Percy held her grey-eyed gaze as she sunk into his bed and slid his head into her lap. He closed his eyes momentarily, enjoying the peace. He grabbed one of her cool hands and interlaced his warm one with it, smiling gently at her, eyes still closed.
Percy hoped he had just got some kind of sickness that ran it's course for a day or two, anything more would be unbearable. He couldn't imagine feeling this weak and miserable for days on end. He'd rather go to Hades! Well, he'd have a second though on that. His blueish eyes made their way back to Annabeth's stormy ones as she began to question him about finding him at the doorway and the beach. A logical connection that wasn't surprising she'd made it. Percy just nodded, seeing not much needed to be explained. Even just having the damp cloth on his forehead had helped, revived him enough that he could now think straight. Percy could only wonder what the ocean could do for him. But for now he was quite content to lay in Annabeth's lap. He hoped she hadn't spent too much time fussing about.
”You’re lucky Chiron didn’t come looking for you. He would have put you under house arrest for the rest of the week and then sent an Iris-message to your mother.”
Percy chuckled lightly at her comment, he knew it was true. Chiron was a strong influence in his life and Percy trusted him with his life. IM-ing his mom would have been his top To-Do Lists. The last thing he really wanted was for his mom to come around campus and start scurrying around frantic to "help her little hero." She was a great mom, but on the rare occasions he got sick, she went a bit mental, coming from a half human, half god.
"If he put me on house arrest right now I would be quite alright with it seeing as I have some very special company.." He replied, winking and giving her hand a quick squeeze, a sure sign the damp cloth had helped his head.
Though this isn't how he planned skipping classes for a day with Annabeth, it was something. He would rather spend time with her where they were both well and having a good time; worry free and just with each other. Though a life full of safety and no drama would probably bore them in no time. Their lives seemed to dawn around action, fate, and the drama of the gods and goddesses. Another sweet smile from Annabeth and Percy's thoughts melted away. He still couldn't figure it out. From day one this girl had caught his attention, and she still hasn't given it up. Percy watched as Annabeth efficiently scanned the room asking if he needed food or anything. She was always thinking about what he needed. Percy felt a tinge of hunger, but he also felt it not worth the emptiness of her leaving him, even momentarily. Water might help, like actual water to drink, but again, he liked the company. He wondered if someone else could go get it for him, he would probably fall asleep if Annabeth's enlightened presence wasn't with him. When she asked about breakfast again Percy thought, staring at the ceiling in thought, trying to devise a positive plan. After what seemed like the longest few minutes on Earth, he removed the cloth from his forehead and placed it next to him on the bed. Then, very slowly, he raised himself onto his elbows, then to a slouching position. Taking a few more deep breaths, he was finally able to sit up right, now facing Annabeth. After a course of pain in his head, Percy recovered and glanced again at his clock; it read 12:27 PM.
"More like lunchtime to me. Got any special plans?"
He asked her, his smile a bit bigger, hinting to the fact he wanted to spend it with her if she had no other plans. Percy didn't want her to leave, even for 5 minutes, but eating and drinking was an inevitable part of life. He knew within the hour he would be able to walk on his own, but he still had another half hour before that, why not make the most of it. Annabeth had already missed classes for him, why not miss a few more? They were respected enough around the camp to be aloud to miss a few classes every now and then. Chiron knew they're past, and had a clue to their future. (<3) His fever would soon break, his body would cool, and he soon he would be able to breathe a sigh of relief. Maybe if Annabeth left for 10 or so minutes to grab a quick lunch he could convince his body to relax and cool off so he could enjoy his time.

In a strange way, his illness was a blessing in disguise. Rarely have the two of them able to spend a little alone time together since the end of the war. Looking back on the last few months, they had barely been able to see each other much at all. With a lot of their classes being separated and them both going to different schools outside the camp, it was a bit lonely. Often when they weren’t in camp and at their separate schools, Annabeth would find herself day dreaming about the Son of Poseidon and when she would get to see him next. This sometimes happened even during her studies, which was never a good thing. When she caught herself drifting off into space, she would have to get up and walk around the dormitory before she could concentrate again. On the weekends, thankfully, Ms. Jackson and Mr. Blofis would let her stay in the spare bedroom in their house. Of course, that resulted to one or the other, sneaking into each other’s bedrooms.
At camp, Chiron had made it a habit to try and keep the two of them in different classes so they wouldn’t cause any problems. Most of the teachers thought this idea was bogus considering they were the best team the camp ever had, but they sometimes listened to the centaur anyways. Though, because of this, they would often get in trouble for breaking the rules and sitting at each other’s table during meals. Eventually, the teacher and Chiron would quit calling them out on that, but for now, they would have to deal with it. When they didn’t sit at each other’s tables, they would steal glances at one another, give a small smile, then go back to eating. There were times when they would send offerings to their Godly parents; she would silently ask both god’s permission to sit with him. Never has she had a problem when she did ask.
Silently, Annabeth was happy to be able to spend this time with him, and she would stay by his side until his was 100% better. She hoped Poseidon and her mother wouldn’t mind if she helped her boyfriend. A smile graced her features, making the worry die down a bit to his response on the house arrest. Now she knew that he was happy with her being there, not that she had any doubt to begin with, but it was nice he hear aloud. There was a strong temptation to kiss him, but with him sick, it wouldn’t be good to get sick herself. Instead, she leaned down and placed a tender kiss to his sweaty brow; a way to show him that she was happy with his company as well. ”Better me than your younger brother. I don’t think Tyson would know what to do in this situation.” It was obviously a little joke, with the smile that followed her words.
Lovingly, Annabeth continued to run her fingers through his hair, watching as he contently closed his eyes at her touch. As she asked him about breakfast, his eyes reopened and pondered a bit. She wondered if he was have the same dilemma she was about her leaving to go get him something or not. He was reluctant to get up, which was a very good sign. Finally, Percy mustered enough strength to slowly sit up, she helped him… and kept a hand on his back just in case his weakness hit again. Secretly, she was sad at the loss of contact, she could stay like that forever just with him laying in her lap like that. Would she ever admit that out loud? No, not now at least. Just being there with him was enough to block that inner secret. When she was sure he could sit up on his own, she removed her hand to pick up the cloth off the bed, placing it on his side table. That would come in handy later when he needed the water contact.
”More like lunchtime to me. Got any special plans?” His smile made her heart flutter once more. It always had.
It didn’t take a rocket scientist to know what he was thinking. He wanted to get up and walk around. There was no way he had the strength to do and Annabeth wasn’t going to let him. The most she would do would be to take him to the water front or to his fountain. ”My plan revolve around you getting better.” She gave him a knowing smile, that usually meant she knew what he was planning. ”I’m sorry, Percy, but you’re not well enough to get up and walk to the pavilion. Even if I helped you, a demigod’s illness will re-heighten and you’ll collapse from a terrible fever.” She gave him an apologetic look. If there was one thing she hated, it was denying him of something.
”I can’t sit there want watch you do that…” It was obvious the idea of him collapsing on her bothered her. Not only did it make her worries worsen, but it scared her. She had seen what illness could do to a demigod, and it wasn’t a good thing. Many times she had to help those at the infirmary with illnesses, injuries, and etc., him included. He needed some nectar and ambrosia in his system to fight of the illness. ”I’ll take you to the infirmary. Maybe the medics and figure out what you have. Plus, you need some medicine.” A gentle smile graced her pretty features. Where this caring attitude came from over the years, she wasn’t sure. Maybe it was just he, himself, Percy… She placed another kiss to his cheek this time, standing as she did so. ”While you’re in the infirmary, I’ll go get you some lunch.” Her eyes sparkled playfully. ”Ham and cheese sandwich on blue bread?” It was odd, his mother’s blue colored food, but it always seemed to brighten his day when he saw the food. Maybe it would make him feel better if he had some blue food.

Percy scooted next to Annabeth against the wall, resting his tired body. Though he could sit up on his own, he knew it would drain him of what little energy he had gained. Illness and diseases just weren't very nice to the Demigod kind. Natural ones rarely killed demigods these days, what with all the ambrosia and nectar, but demigods plagued with a disease from the Gods, well, they wouldn't get very far in life. Percy knew his was only the common cold, and figured he hadn't pissed many gods off lately, a skill he'd been working on. It was more like a life skill, because if he wanted to live, angering one god, after another, just didn't seem like the way to do it. Percy stretched out his legs and reclined to rest his head, neck, and upper back on a pillow. Still somewhat upright, he would stay awake, just more relaxed. His breathing was good, he hadn't had to many coughing fits, and he could still breathe out his nose, so for now he felt pretty good. His temperature was still a bit high, but at least his body wasn't going haywire like when Annabeth found him.
Percy was content to stay in his room and just relax and talk to Annabeth. The open ocean would be nice, and he wondered if it would help with his fever. He knew it couldn't 'cure' the annoying illness, but it would do something helpful. But the only way to get there was to walk, it was tempting, but Percy just wasn't in the mood to go tra-la-la-ing through the campus with a fever in his boxers. As Percy was lost in thought, he felt her remove the cloth and he smiled at the light kiss she planted on his brow. He looked up and smiled warmly at Annabeth, giving her hand another squeeze.
”Better me than your younger brother. I don’t think Tyson would know what to do in this situation.”
Percy closed his eyes and groaned sarcastically. He loved Tyson, but he didn't possess many people skills. Tyson was strong, so he probably would have carried him around searching for Chiron, after spending time freaking out and wrecking havoc on the cabin. Though he could quickly and easily build something out of anything, he could just as easily destroy stuff with out a moments thought.
"I love that cyclops, but one can only imagine.." Percy said shaking his head and joking back, he couldn't imagine how that would go.
Percy watched her reaction when he mentioned lunch. He majorly enjoyed the quiet time together here, ADHD didn't have days off. He needed to move, and go somewhere. To get better he would definintly have to drink some fluids and eat a little. He figured they could take a short walk someplace and settle down, almost like a picnic. He felt strong enough to walk around, but how long and far he could walk was a different story. Percy saw Annabeth's smile he knew he wasn't going anywhere. He sighed, why he thought he could get anything past her, she was just too smart and knew him too well. But it was always fun to see what he could slip by her. A small smile graced his lips when he heard her talk about how her plan was to help get better. And she knew that him walking around wasn't going to help. Percy knew that too, but a short walk could help, fresh air. He rolled his eyes playfully when she continued on explaining her reasoning. It was true, that's why he wanted his fever to break, once it breaks it usually stays gone, if it just dips, it usually comes back to put the demigod back in bed. Percy chuckled slightly, Annabeth was cute when she mothered him. He found it funny thinking about that.. What did their future hold? He wondered if they would live together off-CHB grounds, or would it be to dangerous? Would they live at the Camp forever? With no privacy? He didn't like that very much. Percy furrowed his brow, momentarily perplexed. He hadn't thought about it, he was only 16, and there was never a gaurantee that they would make it to adulthood, but it still nagged at him. Percy knew he loved her, and wanted to spend the rest of his life with her, but he had no idea how to handle the future. At least he knew they would be together, and prevail against all odds like they did, and always will.
Percy blinked a few times as he returned to reality, and turned to Annabeth, her features dimmed with worry. Seeing him collapse would probably send Annabeth haywire, he knew how deeply she cared for him, it was a two-way deal, but he couldn't imagine how she would be if anything major like that happened. Percy squeezed her hand again and kissed it gently, letting her know he understands and he will abide.
”I’ll take you to the infirmary. Maybe the medics can figure out what you have. Plus, you need some medicine.”
Percy smiled as her, glad that her more peaceful features had returned. She kissed him once more on the cheek before standing up. Percy pushed himself up against the wall again, sitting up. He really didn't want to go to the infirmary, he never really had any good memories there, well a few. As Annabeth continued on about medicine and food he remembered when she nursed him back to health, and her first comment was, "You drool when you sleep." and how he just kept an eye on her because her expression was fierce and didn't soften up. Percy laughed, he would have never imagined being her GF then, and here he was. When he heard her comment about blue food and smiled. She knew just how to make him better, blue food. When he lived with his mom and step-dad Paul, and yes Annabeth would stay with them on weekends, his mom would still go out of the way to get as much blue colored food as possible.
"That would be lovely. Thank you." Percy smiled happily at her, his mood had greatly improved since this morning. Remembering that he was to be taken to the infirmary, he slid his legs over the edge of the bed and set them down on the cool wooden floor. He took a few deep breaths before standing up, with Annabeth helping him, it was successful. He was about reading to old-man-walk out the door when he looked down, there was no way he was going around the camp like this. Sighing and shaking his head he scanned the floor for pants.

Once again, that smile sent butterflies fluttering through her stomach like any other time he smiled. His dazzling smile always seemed to take her breath away lately, if anything ever happened to take his smile away… it would break her heart. She could remember back when they first met, a little after he was released from the infirmary for the first time. Of course, she barely knew him and with their parents being mutual enemies, she had believed it should be the same between them. When Hades announced about having his mother being held captive in the Underworld, the look of horror was still burned in the back of her memory. The pain of his mother might have parished was completed wiped clean, leaving in place the pain of realizing someone he loved had been kidnapped… sometimes a fate worse than being killed. Annabeth frowned at the memory, the look of pure fear, sorrow, and depression on his face… it didn’t sit well with her at all.
Her attitude obviously dropped at the memory, but she had to remind herself that was the past. What mattered right then was to keep the smile plan on his handsome face, even while he was sick. Otherwise it would make her feel sick. Annabeth shook herself from her memories, putting more recent memories in place instead. The first time they kissed in Mount St. Helens, which she still couldn’t believe she did. The fear then that she could possibly lose him because of one little line she didn’t want to repeat for her prophecy. When he reappeared the day of lighting his shroud, she was overcome with such joy she hugged him tight just to make sure he was really there. This put a small smile on her rosy lips at the memory. No matter how painful or happy her memories were with him, she cherished every minute and always would.
Coming back to Earth, she carefully helped him stand. It seemed he had a lot more energy than he did when she first found him earlier. The wet cloth must have helped, maybe later she would let him sit in the surf to soak up some of the water. For now, they needed to get to the infirmary to see what his illness really was. Judging by his symptoms, it looked very close to the Flu, if that was the case, he would need all the medication and help he could get. Annabeth took his arm and wrapped it around her shoulder, to support himself a bit better, then wrapped her own arm around his waist. Though he was sick, she liked the closeness between them and secretly liked being his “Nurse,” no matter how bad that sounded. It made her laugh to herself at the thoughts that went through her mind, she would have to tell him later.
”You are very welcome.” Once again, she places a lingering kiss to his cheek before helping him get some proper closed on. A small flush crossed her cheeks, as she realized exactly how she found him. A cough sounded as she cleared the throat. ”Its… uhh… cold outside… you might need a… err jacket.” Quickly, Annabeth turned away grabbing his jacket, which happened to be hanging over the railing of the top bunk that was above his. Letting go of him temporarily, she held his jacket open to help the sick boy before her into it. Hopefully, she didn’t seem too much like a mother instead of his girlfriend. It was easy to get those confused, but honestly, she didn’t care. They hardly ever had alone time, and for her this was a time she would keep close to her heart.

Percy focused on standing, it took more energy than one would think. He finally stood on two legs shakily before he felt Annabeth wrap an arm around his waist and he slid his arm over her shoulder for support. They stood there momentarily before she realized what he was searching for. It was nice to be close to her, but she broke off to 'find a jacket.' Maybe she didn't care about his outfit, but the slight red tone of her cheeks was enough proof and made Percy smile a little. Finally eyeing a pair of black basketball shorts, he grabbed them and slid them on as quickly as a sick demigod could..not very quickly. Annabeth turned around again with his forest green jacket as he straightened up again. He smiled and said thank you to her as he slid the jacket on, another kiss placed on his cheek. He wanted to kiss her back, full on, but he would feel terrible if passed this horrible fate to her. "I feel so special!," he said happily in a half joking manor as she helped him slide into his jacket, "Thank you, again, what would i do with out you?" He said staring deep into her stormy grey eyes, a slightly serious question but he figured she wouldn't pick up on it. It was sorta out of place, they weren't having a very serious and in depth talk, but Percy always had a nagging thought about their future, and sometimes he imagined life without her but it never lasted long because he knew he would have been lost and miserable.
Percy didn't want to go to the infirmary. He'd rather stay here or go to the waterfront. But Annabeth was smart, trustworthy, and Percy wanted to please her. He wouldn't mind passing out or bouts of high temperature, he was a bit of a lazy bum when sick. But he wouldn't be able to stand it if something drastic happened because he knew how much Annabeth would worry. He wouldnt leave her side either if she got sick, probably would make her go to the infirmary too. Ambrosia and nectar would probably help though, relieving the severity of his symptoms. He remembered how he had eaten the godly food and it tasted like his moms homemade chocolate chip cookies. What he would give to bite into one again, so the infirmary wouldn't be too bad. Percy slid his arm around Annabeth's shoulders for support again. He liked being close to her, but it wasn't the same as if he was strong and well. Percy mentally sighed, he needed to spend more time with her, show her she was loved and appreciated. Remembering the ball, Percy figured he'd do something special when he asked her-something cute and special. Returning to his cabin, he was secured himself to Annabeth and trudged on slowly on shaky legs, and aimed his body towards the cabin door.
