MYNAMEIS: Hunter Michael Foley

IAM: Seventeen
BORNON: January 11, 1994
SPECIES: Demigod – son of Nemesis========================================

MYHAIR: Hunter’s hair is dark brown, and medium length. It reaches just past his ears. Some days he puts gel into it, and on others he doesn’t – it just depends on what he feels like doing.
MYEYES: Hunter’s eyes are ice blue, very clear and striking against his dark hair.
MYFACE: Hunter’s face is youthful, though almost all “baby fat” is totally gone at his age. He has well-defined cheekbones and a sculpted jaw, and he gets dark stubble along his jaw and above his lip if he doesn’t shave each morning. Usually, he keeps his face clean-shaven, though every once in a while he’ll let a bit of stubble grow.
MYBODY: Physical training is a big part of Hunter’s life, and as such he has an athletic physique. His skin is slightly tanned, and he definitely has more muscle than fat, although he doesn’t quite look like a bodybuilder.
SPECIAL: He has a few scars on his arms and legs from mishaps in training at Camp Half-Blood, but his most memorable scar is the one he has across his forehead, hidden under his bangs, that he got from the robbers who broke into his house.========================================

ABOUTME: Hunter is pretty shy once you first begin talking to him. He doesn’t have much to say at the beginning, probably because he is so secretive about everything that has happened to him. He doesn’t like to talk about his past, so until he begins to have other things to talk about with someone besides himself, he starts feeling a bit more comfortable. Hunter is a good guy with plenty of street smarts, enough to be able to take care of himself in New York City even at seventeen. He trains a lot, both in and out of Camp Half-Blood, to keep himself in shape and ready to defend against anything else life might throw at him. He’s protective of the people he loves, especially since his worst fear is to lose anyone else who is important to him the way he lost his mom.========================================

GOODMEMORY: The first time he won a fight against his trainer at Camp Half-Blood. It moved him up into the next level of training, and Hunter felt very accomplished and like his hard work was really paying off.
BADMEMORY: When Hunter was eight, two young men attempted to rob his house while not realizing that Kiersten and Hunter were at home. Kiersten tried to defend herself and her son against the attackers, but she was shot between the eyes at point-blank range while Hunter looked on helplessly.
HISTORY: Thomas Kelly was a good man before he met the goddess Nemesis. He had goals and aspirations, and when he met her he was fresh out of college and looking for a job. He put everything on hold for Nemesis, though, and by the time it was over between them he had nothing left to live for. He lived in a broken-down hovel, and he turned to drinking and gambling to occupy his time. When Nemesis brought him the child she had borne, he begged her to take him back, but Nemesis would have none of it, especially seeing how he was now. She left him the child and told him that if he took care of it, she might come back to him.
Thomas took care of the baby for a short time, but it was hard work and he honestly didn’t believe that Nemesis was ever coming back. Eventually, he got fed up with child-rearing and left baby Hunter in the dumpster with the rest of his smelly garbage on the morning of garbage day. Fortunately, it was slightly warmer than usual on that day, and the garbage men found Hunter before three hours had gone by. They called the police, who took Hunter into custody and arrested Thomas.
Hunter was sent to an orphanage, but babies were usually adopted very quickly and he wasn’t there for six months before a woman named Kiersten MacMurchy took him. She raised him like her own son, and like so many adoptive parents, she planned to wait until Hunter was older before she told him that he was adopted. Unfortunately, she never got that chance. When Hunter was eight, the house he and Kiersten lived in was targeted for robbery. The criminals were relatively inexperienced, having only pulled off a couple of heists before and having done a bit of time in juvy. They were sure that Kiersten and her son were gone, but they had made a grave mistake. The two were home at the time of the robbery, and when the intruders realized they weren’t alone, things got out of hand. They took Hunter as leverage and threatened Kiersten, who got on her knees and begged them not to hurt her baby. The robbers had no idea what they were doing, though, and only knew that they didn’t want to get caught, so they couldn’t leave witnesses. Hunter watched as a shaking finger pulled the trigger on the gun that was pointed between Kiersten’s eyes. Her stare went blank, and she fell forward onto her face. Hunter screamed and kicked and fought as hard as he could, but at eight years old he couldn’t do much. The two robbers hightailed it out of the house and dragged Hunter with them, heading for the state border.
They argued a lot about what to do with Hunter in the car, but they had never meant to kill anyone and were too afraid to do it again. They left Hunter in New York, instead, figuring that he would never make it there anyway and that someone else would pretty much just kill him for them. Then they fled to Canada before anyone realized what they had done.
They didn’t count on Hunter being picked up by a patrolling police car. He was tired and hungry and terribly frightened, but besides bruises his only real wound was a gash on his forehead from being struck by one of the robber’s rings. The police realized that he was the MacMurchy boy who went missing after the Rhode Island robbery and murder, and pressed Hunter for details, but it was too hard for him to talk about to really be of much help. Hunter was sent to a New York orphanage, and his mother’s case went cold.
However, not only was Hunter lucky for surviving his ordeal, but he was lucky that he didn’t have to spend a year in the orphanage before he was taken in again, this time by Joseph and Patricia Foley. The Foleys were getting on a bit in years, though they weren’t quite elderly, but by this time they had raised their share of demigods. At the orphanage they asked specifically for a special needs child, and were introduced to Hunter. He had been diagnosed with ADHD and dyslexia when he had first arrived, and for the Foleys it was a sure sign. They took Hunter, feeling especially sympathetic for him once they learned of his background, and treated him like their own son.
Once in the Foley household, Hunter began to feel as though he were among his own. His new older brother and sister were both dyslexic and suffered from ADHD, and Joseph and Patricia seemed made for raising children like them. When Hunter was about ten and a half, Ella clued the Foley’s in on some strange things that had been beginning to happen around Hunter. Finally, Joseph and Patricia sat him down and explained to him what he was.
Considering his past, Hunter believed that since his mother was Kiersten MacMurchy, his godly parent must be his father. He began attending Camp Half-Blood that summer, and when he was old enough to switch over into high school he was registered at Xavier. There he met Gabe, Todd, Liz, and their friends, and fit in quite well with their little group. He is still unclaimed at the moment, though Nemesis is proud of her son and plans to claim him soon. When that happens, though, Hunter’s world will surely be turned upside-down.========================================
